This chapter was absolutely amazing, I understand why it’s one of your favourite chapters in the entire fic! The way Felix tried to make the MC understand that he won’t leave, that none of them will leave her, was genuinely so adorable.
It was the first time in a long while that a fanfic made me tear up (while I was on a train 😭). This chapter hit me so hard, I can’t really explain it, but it touched something deep inside me, and I almost started to cry because of it.

Felix is a dear isn’t he…?? There’s this really difficult line he toes here of wanting to push (either for more info, or to reassure) without pushing too far — and we’ve talked about it on this blog before, but the “too far” mark for Felix specifically can sometimes be a bit closer than for the others. I do not envy him in this chapter!!! But I think it says a lot about them, too, that they’re talking about this, and she’s not lashing out at him, and he backs off when he gets the signal that she’s done (the chocolate comment, at the end) 😊 I think especially when you consider that he said I love you and got nothing back, it’s like… woof! But also…. good job…?? I think…?????
