Sometimes planning stories feels like that too actually hahaha-- I know this has to happen and this has to happen and it ends this way, and if A is taller than B and B is taller than C then etc etc... While talking to another writer friend recently I compared outlining to detangling a necklace. In complete transparency they did not agree with this analogy 😆 But anyway!!! Omg that chapter was a rollercoaster. We went from sweet to smut to angst to sadness

It felt like being fasttracked through the stages of grief

I know I said it before but i'll say it again. Hyunjinnnn this romantic ass man. As romantic as it sounds DONT change yourself for anyone...thats terrible advice in general

Also, anyone with eyes can see that they have attraction for each other and like magnets..will eventually collide again. It's just a matter of HOW not IF

I really loved how you wrote both MC and Hyunjin being nervous. Both unsure lil lambs trying to navigate a treacherous situation. You did it so well too!!! Sweet lovemaking and silly teenage esque lover scenarios. (Welp now I just imagined Hyunjin writing LOVER about MC..ARGHH)

Welp I was wrong. No scent drunk people here, just sadness and angst and MC realising that even with how far she's come, recovery physically wise...mentally theres still work to be done. Can't help but also applaud her for her progress so far though. Healing isn't linear, she'll get there ^^

Also EXCUSEME THAT TEASER...Chan is gonna go pack alpha and get mad it seems...i mean, I get it. Saying 'fuck off' and instead doing 'fuck a member of the pack' isnt fair to any of them, MC included. I get being annoyed...I just hope they get a good convo out of it after.

Im kinda sad Soohyun wasnt doing a chair swivel as the light turned on when MC got home. It wouldve been traumatising but also really intriguing as a plot point, ah well!

It's funny, I don't really like writing first times that much (or similar scenes, vibe-wise); I just don't find it very interesting, I think. But RON has me writing and enjoying a lot of stuff I don't usually find interesting 😆 I enjoyed it, too!!! I also think there's something kind of hot about someone wanting to give that badly LOL. Just pure unadulterated enthusiasm

Everyone's interpretation of the teaser has been very interesting to me!!! I was just talking to my friend about this. But I shouldn't talk about this either 🫣

? There are a lot of reasons why people are unsure or embarrassed by the prospect of getting head! I mean we live in a society that shames women for their sexuality, pleasure, and genitals, which can impede enjoyment. A lot of straight people consider blowjobs routine and eating someone out as going above and beyond, which says something about our collective expectations and impacts how we feel about those things. Different people have different desires and libidos, and some people don’t like getting topped, though obviously that doesn’t apply in MC’s case. It can also just be nerve-wracking doing something for the first time, even without something like preexisting sexual trauma, like MC has. And some people just find it kind of overwhelming in a sensory sense — not always in a bad way, but still 😊 Sex is complex, and socially informed, and it’s okay to have complex feelings about it. I think it’s okay for fiction to represent some of those feelings — even when it’s Hyunjin, hahahaha

(Not to get too TMI into the sex life of the author, but I’m long-term dating a way out-of-my-league munch and they regularly beg on their knees to eat it and I regularly say no 🤷 LOL)

I just wanted to say I saw your post and what is happening with your friend and wanted to tell you I’m so sorry you are both going through that right now. I hope everything gets better, and if it doesn’t, I hope it gets easier to cope with the hardship.

I was just listening to The Cure by Olivia Rodrigo and it gave me very much MC vibes. Especially some of the lyrics of the chorus.

“I don’t matter how your love feels anymore. It’ll never be the cure.”

Idk it just feels like a song that MC would write in my head, as well as What If I Miss You For The Rest Of My Life by Janine Berdin (specifically the live version from the wish bus that’s going viral right now). I feel like both of these songs are things she would write/record on her phone in the middle of the night when Soohyun is away at Yuris.

I feel like both songs kind of contradict each other but maybe MC feels like her brain is contradicting itself with how she feels. Idk just thoughts pouring into this page right now 🤷‍♀️

I am very much an avid maladaptive daydreamer, especially when I’ve read something recently, and so I tend to listen to lots of songs that I think that character would write (even if they are not a song writer mostly because I write songs myself and kinda head cannon everyone to write music).

I’ve got so many songs I think MC would write. Should I make a playlist? Maybe link it in my next ask if anyone wants that? If not that’s fine I’m all for chilling in my headcannons by myself lols

Anyway sorry for the long rant/drabble, I don’t have many people to talk to (and especially not about my reading bc no one is interested in listening to me talk for 3 hours about it). I do really hope everything works out in the end with your friend.

I've just caught up! I'm half glad/sad I didn't have to wait as long as others between chapters because man… Ch 65😭

We are hitting paydirt in the angst mines 😔 She's sad & mad, and the boys are stuck dealing the fallout. 😭 As usual, it's always so fun to read the differences in how each boy reacts to MC, from begging, to arguing, to borderline gaslighting (IN with the "It's fine we lied though?"). The way I felt everyone's desperation to try and get her to stay just a second longer… 😭😭 Both sides had very valid opinions and feelings, which makes the angst so good imo

Ok onto slightly happier times in the most recent chapter…

Hyunjin! I really like how you described the chapter as weird magnetism! I think that vibe has come across since he ran into MC at the cafe! But also a little bit more world building! Bond sickness?? 🥺 I'm ready for the messy, sexy (and probably angsty) in-between before the happy ever after 😝🫡

Might go on a little bit of a rant here so please bear with me.

I enjoy angst but it also scares the crap out of me😭😭 because what do you mean these characters that I love are fighting and this is how it's going. I got done with my finals a few days after chapter 65 came out and I'm a person who doesn't mind spoilers especially because I knew we were in the angst mines so I was like I just need to know what's going on just a little bit and everyone was sobbing???? And I was like this is not the time for me to read this I cannot take the angst without the comeback so I've been waiting and I finally got a chance to check and you'd updated obviously and the comments seem more optimistic (?) so I'm gonna read the angsty chapters in a few days (because life about to get busy for the next like 2 days we have a lot going on) because the glimmer of hope is there!! (even though I know it's a happy ending) Anyways!! I will be back to (probably) cry when I get through the angst mines! I hope you Soohyun/MC gets better soon and if you ever need anyone to fight the haters I am ready to throw hands no one deserves to be hated for putting out stuff they write for themselves. I truly admire people who are willing to put out their writings on platforms and when they write these pieces of art??? For free????? And people hate on them????? For writing what they want???? For free???? You get the privilege of reading this and you're complaining??????? Mind boggling honestly. Honestly if you want to wait for the angst to settle down I would actually advise you to keep waiting! What I originally considered the angst mines was essentially one in-story day that was just mess after mess, but in retrospect I don't really think we're out of the woods yet hahahaha. But it's up to you!! Use your own discretion 🙆 I don't think we're in the devastating part of the story as much anymore but it is definitely still angsty. But that's just my opinion!!! Maybe readers will weigh in more in the hours/days/weeks to come

welcome back, sweet author! 🫶🏻 I just got home from Seoul the day before yesterday and jetlag has been relentless, but getting to read the delicious new chapter has softened the blow for sure.

It’s fun watching MC fill in the blanks for all of the questions she hasn’t allowed herself to linger on up until this point. Also watching her unwittingly unfurl like a new blossoming flower in the light of the idea of being their boys’ soulmate, resistant as she is for very real and understandable reasons.

I’m glad Hyunjin was the one that went after her. In her current mental state, nerves raw and exposed, I feel he has the most naturally gentle touch to soothe her without being too much. Like her own personal balm. While I’m sure the others also want to comfort her in any way they can, I feel their flavors of desperation might be too abrasive like rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, whereas Hyunjin’s brand of romanticism and sensitivity makes him more like aloe.

I’m looking forward to all of the ways the boys will express what they feel for MC and HOW they feel it, without this secret holding them back anymore.

I’m curious if we’ll get any side drabble of the boys POV when Hyunjin goes after MC? Or more specifically, when he shows back up after being gone so long smelling like her 😮‍💨 Of course as always you don’t have to answer, I’m more so (wishfully) thinking out loud.

I do hope you’re doing well. Not to pry for specifics, but I saw you mention in your notes that life has been difficult lately. I hope things start looking up 🫶🏻 If you need to take more time off to deal with things, the readers that care and support you will still be here waiting.

I didn't tag RON with "unreliable narrator" because I'm a little stubborn about the tag in general (I love an unreliable narrator! But in some ways are we not all unreliable... I end up tagging things like VNM, where the narrator lies to you, as unreliable, and things like RON, where the narrator just dodges and avoids, as not) BUT one thing I really love about this part of the story is the reveal that MC has in fact been thinking about the soulmate thing hahahaha. All those months of readers calling her dumb for not seeing the signs... And I bit my tongue.... 😭 I mean I guess she didn't commit to the idea! But if it was me in an 8 vs 1 "are we soulmates" situationship mental battle I would also gaslight myself I think 🧍

....I'm rambling! My point is I've also liked her filling in the blanks, so I'm relieved to hear it! It's fun that she's kind of given herself permission to think about it now hahahaha

I think the guilt and responsibility that MC feels for Hyunjin is helping him out a lot here 😆 What she says here -- "You’ve never wanted to break anyone’s heart — but certainly, you’ve never wanted to break Hyunjin’s" -- is a lot of it, to me! I agree that I think this would have gone very differently with literally any other boy

My best friend/anchor (they're like my Soohyun. or maybe I'm like their Soohyun, and they're like my MC...??? 😆) might be dying right now, so everything has been very week-by-week, to be honest! Once when I was a kid I got my leg tangled in kelp, and in that first moment before I looked down I thought it was just my board leash, before I remembered I'd stopped tying my board to my leg a few weeks ago because it kept hitting me in the head when I knocked out. Sometimes having fun doing anything feels like that moment all over again, hahahaha -- looking down and expecting to see what you always see, but you're drowning and you just don't know it yet

I love Hyunjin and Y/N's bond a LOT. He's very intense, such a romantic but also the most..hmm yearning out of the bunch I'd say? So they fact that he went after her, got her to agree to a ride home..and then the bond just took over

I love how you wrote that natural attraction and curiosity they both have for each other. Lil skittish bunny meets very eager to please hare hyunjin! Thats the mental image my brain gave. Hyunijin doing a thumper impression and if he had a paw it would be thumping happily away on that floorboard of the car.

The romance, the fluff. Yes she's still hesistant..but SHES NOT RUNNING. She is having so much character progression these past few chapters, im proud of our lil traumatised MC(as someone who also doesnt trust men easily anymore...its healing...like really really healing so thank you Inso)

And its a TWO PARTER? I'm calling it now..they'll both be scent drunk after this and neither will be able to move. So either

A: MC misses her move day and Yuri gets pissed and finds her at the pack house
