canon scholars ;; i received two very different forms of education, between my time at exillium and that at foxfire. different
exillium was ,, questionable, it less a school and more a place for the unworthy, those of us who were banished from the lost cities. it focused a lot more on the sorts of skills most people overlooked — water breathing, telekinesis, appetite suppression — which i honestly think are better lessons to have than like, elven history and alchemy? not that those aren't important too!! but, yeah, i do wish they got ,,, really any focus outside exillium? most people neglected to practice that stuff. the teaching methods really sucked though, and the coaches weren't bery nice. nor wrre the other waywards, not thst i ,,, really got to any.of them, besides biana and her friends. we had to.keep anonymity which was, certainly something? we had to wear these awful uniforms with these full-face masks and hoods, and we weren't allowed to share names or even talk to each other.
foxfire was strange too, though — it was a school for the nobility, so it was really, suffocating? in some ways? expectations were really high. lessons were one on one sith mentors, which, felt like a lot of pressure? but it was also.nice having less people around to judge? but we were actually allowed to talk to.other prodigies between classes !! so thst was nice :3 most the lessons were like, agricultural studies. elementalism, alchemy, that stuff. we learned a bit of telekinesis in PE? but, no skills like thst otherwise. a lot of focus went to special.ability training, so i had my hydrokinesis lessons !! which i did really like.
