1.24 Go getter
Nico: Hello Chantal, I’m Nico Perry, Director of Marketing here at SNOOT.
Chantal: It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Perry.
Nico: Nico is fine! I have to say, I was quite impressed by your resume. A 4.0 GPA with a full ride scholarship? Are you sure you need this job?
Chantal: Well, sure. My college is paid for but I’d like to be self-sufficient. Plus, I’ve always been interested in health and wellness, so getting to work in that field would be a great experience for me.
Nico: That’s what I like to hear! I see you have a nice following on Social Bunny as well.
Chantal: Yes. I’m not exactly an influencer, but I have built up a lot of followers. It’s all about understanding the algorithm. I spent a lot of time figuring out what makes people more likely to engage with a post and doing that has paid off.
Nico: I see. Who makes your graphics? Everything looks very polished.
Chantal: I make everything myself. I wanted something simple yet eye-catching. Sometimes the best way to get things done right is to do them yourself.
Nico: Wow, you’re quite the go-getter! A big part of this job is being able to recognize what needs to be done without being told. That’s something a lot of newbies struggle with, but it doesn’t sound like that would be a problem for you.
Chantal: Definitely not. I’m always thinking about the next steps and how to achieve them.
Nico: Good, good. Would you mind if I excuse myself for a minute? I won’t be long.
Chantal: Sure, go right ahead.
[Chantal checks her text messages. She has a text from Farrah]
Farrah: Are you still in your interview? Chantal: Yeah, it’s going great. The interviewer stepped out. He’s really hot btw! Farrah: Uh oh. You know what they say, don’t shit where you sleep! Chantal: I know better than that 🙄
Nico: Well, Chantal, this is by far the best interview we’ve had so far. I’m really impressed by your attitude. I got the ok from my boss to go ahead and offer you the position. I think you’d make a great addition to our team. If you need, you can take a couple of days to think it over.
Chantal: That’s not necessary. I would love to accept the position!
Nico: Great! I’ll get you set up with onboarding so she can go over all the details with you. I’m looking forward to working with you, Chantal.
Chantal: I’m looking forward to it, too!
