Thoughts about Hisoka in the 1999 HxH
Ok I’m watching the hunter x hunter 1999 for the first time, I noticed all through like episode 21 or so Hisoka didn’t seem as scary or psychotic. I was actually really surprised by this because in the 2011 right off the bat he is scary and creepy and very psychotic lol! I was a little like disappointed that the 2011 doesn’t show him being like relatable or as likeable (adorable?) as it does in the first number of episodes.....
But then I got to episode 23 lmao... the scary psychotic Hisoka I know showed UP!
It actually made him even freakier because that episode is imo the first one we see him being his psychotic scary self where as again, before he was like almost nice?? (I’m saying nice in the sense that he didn't choke Gon almost to death in 1999 version vs 2011 lmaoooo)
It’s just so interesting to see how different his character is portrayed in both versions. I’m still working my way through the 1999 but I’m interested to see what else happens!
I will say I like both versions of him, I’m used to and familiar with 2011 Hisoka but they are both very interesting characters!
