@jesyika I just had an idea. What if I stuck ads on the plains website that were like “The Love Love Doctor!” People would completely overlook them, but then after collecting like 5 markers you’d get a quest notification in binary that read “the love love doctor isn’t what it seems”. 

Then they’d open the site up, and it’s be like “Find cute grills in your area” with a bunch of advertisements for grills, etc. and it just goes on like that to reveal a top secret conspiracy to control the world or something. 

I’m one guy, so I don’t think I could do this. But it’s a nice thought. I have weird daydreams.

The button’s CSS was a bitch to get right. 

Maybe I should create some markers nearby, so that I don’t have to keep going down the road to this one person’s house every time I want to test this thing.

That way I won’t seem like such a creeper.

This game is still mainly designed for use on phones, but now it should work, kind of, on desktop. Just remember it’s only a prototype. You need to click passed the error, BTW.

So here’s the skeleton of my geolocation game. It requires you to login (passwords are disabled ATM), and it only shows a map centered on your current location. It also requires that you use it on a device with a GPS, such as a phone. But, overall I think it’s OK. For a start at least.

I’m a little disturbed by how little of my mecha game’s code is reusable. I’m having to adapt quite a bit of it.

Derp. I nearly forgot that the towers need to be mass produced. I just mocked up the tower sheet by hand.

I’ve added Chapter 5: Combat. If there’s anything you guys want to add to this, let me know. Otherwise I’ll be sending it off to a few friends (who have actual D&D experience) and posting it elsewhere for more feedback. If you feel like adding some stuff to the appendices, let me know, it’d be a great help.

The d20 system isn’t explicitly about the type of die used, but rather using a die combined with a set of six stats with modifiers. There’s nothing wrong with it, I just want a unique spin, is all. I think just adding an elemental aspect isn’t enough; the game itself has to be fully fleshed out. It’s too late to finish it right now though.
