When your assigned to a job that requires you to sacrifice your life every waking moment, would you do it? Or would you back down?
I was given THE assignment to take out someone I knew, someone I trusted, a friend from my past training. Sure he was an asshole, all trainers were, with the exception of Rkar. My origin story began here. Standing here once again on Harvest... it just felt wrong. Im not a hit man, but my training, my blood was trained to take out the most dangerous men and women in the universe. Rkar never assists with these missions, he's ONI, I am ODST. I feel more like a mercenary with these assignments.
Anyway my target was my old Commander from training, the one before Rkar. Anthony Orbvus (Or-be-vo-us) He was a 3rd class infinity during the contact wars on earth, today he's a rogue agent working for the Covenant. How they recruited him is unknown. But none the less he needed to be dealt with.
Tanking it back to how it got here, Rkar and I were cabined at a Hotel off of Broadway and 5th (the new broadway in CA) back on earth. Out of the blue we were surrounded by his men. I think he had some deal with Rkar. Anyway, because Rkar is ONI the military flagged all nearby representatives of the UNSCDF, doesn't take long for response when your constantly dogged by operatives on earth. It was complete madness. Rkar and I were on a honeymoon, just last month I proposed to him with a trinket I carried, had it made into a necklace for him since he doesn’t like rings.
The battle caused the city to go under lockdown, UNSC and Mercs were going at it throughout the night. I have no clue of the end result, but Anthony got away from the attack. Rkar was escorted back to Mars and I was left to solve this issue.
I stand over my target and radio mission success, am I sane to assassinate the man who brought me Rkar in the first place?

Anthony: “Why save my sorry ass?”
Kragith: “So you can serve time dickhead.”
Anthony: “Sure, they will decorate me.”
Kragith: “Who said the UNSC is arresting you, you fucked with ONI, you fucked with me.”
Anthony: “Shit”
HCM: “HCM GET DOWN”
Rkar: “You didn't think I would let you do all the work”
Kragith: “Rkar...”
