The mothership
I am officially starting my blog with a post of my dear mother. She has been the sole source of inspiration since I was 8 and continues to be the reason behind my obsession with sarees. Thank you amma.
She is wearing a jute silk saree in rich purple and taupe. Jute silk, essentially is a natural fibre stripped down and treated with chemicals to make it smooth and silky. It usually is combined with other materials such as cotton and, in this case silk to make it wear-ready for consumers.
This saree was purchased from LEVEL-10, a little botique in Kottayam from Kerala.
