Hey it's me !! I carry on with the kinktober but since i'm adding some lore for the poseïtinous au (with my poseidon and @fishyseidon's antinous) i'm posting close up here ~ (if you wanna see antinous ... the full pic is on bluesky)
First pic :
In this bronze offering bowl is set a branch of Commiphora myrrha (spiky one), three Boswellia (of which one of them is blossomy) and one pine cone. All favorite plants of poseidon slowly burning together with a stick encens.
second pic :
There is two side of this rug. This one is the « beginning » and, in the center, the rug portrays Poseidon father, kronos, eating his offspring in is protoform as a snake and coral creature. Flanked by two friezes where a cow and a horse are meeting for the first time (left) and learn to know each other by being physically close (right). As much as the rug is getting eaten by the time and turned into a rag, the frieze sides keep weaving and repairing the tapistry as poseidon life carry on with antinous by his side. Shyly trying to build something soft and meaningfull on the ruined and immortal spirit of the god.
Third pic :
More encent sticks. One is already burned down and start to extinguish, already remplaced by a new one on the right, waiting to be light on while the one in the middle is diffusing his sweet scent in poseidon's open temple. A rhyton had be set next to them for drinking purpose but had be spilled on the fabric and the altar through the course of their night... Staining the tapistry and the delicate stone's altar with the rich and colorful flavor of dionysus’s drink... it was nonetheless a negligible detail, for no marks Antinous would ever lay upon him and his domains could ever look wrong in poseidon’s eyes. He would always cherish any stains and scars. The god of the sea would keep all those remains close to his heart as delicate memories even when time will inevitably stole his wonderful mortal from him…
