☆ MESSAGE INCOMING FROM: KRP NETWORK

↳ The network has proudly welcomed some awesome new roleplay communities recently, whom I’d recommend you check out for all your roleplay needs! Our Network Members page is updated with active roleplays!

Also, I’d like to fully disclose that this blog started out with three admins, but for the majority of the time it has operated, it’s just been me, a solo and fellow roleplay admin, updating the queue everyday! I’m not currently seeking help, but only understanding if some ads or notices get missed! 

Regarding roleplay reviews, we have actually received a few but considering people typically post reviews when they have some kind of gripe, it has been hard for me, again, as a fellow rp admin, to in good conscience post them. I know how much work goes into conceptualizing and also building a foundation of members for a roleplay community, and posting something that could unfairly tarnish their reputation doesn’t sit well with me. So as of now, I am choosing to suspend roleplay reviews until further notice. 

One more thing, and I appreciate if you’ve read this far; the layout of the blog is still under construction, so things might start looking a little different very soon!

There has been alot of RPs opening and closing lately. Do you think KRP has lost some of it's appeal over the second half of 2021? It certainly seems so. I would love to hear your opinion on this since you see a lot of the community coming and going through applications and such!You do not have to answer if it isn't comfortable for you :)

Hi there! Thanks for your question!

Yes, I of course do notice roleplays opening and closing. Sometimes it's disappointing how quickly roleplays do close because I personally know how much work goes into conceptualizing a roleplay, rules, and all the ins and outs of the theme of your roleplay. It definitely is work, and when I see something bright, shiny, and passionate come through the network just to go inactive within a few days because the turn out was low... or any other unknown reason, well it can just be sad to see! I don't think krp has lost its appeal, actually. I think there are still many rpers who love writing. I just think when a new community doesn't knock the door down with a hundred members in the first week, some consider it a flop or a failure and give up on it? "Some" including admins AND members. I think a lot of people join new roleplays expecting the place to entertain them when it's always a joint effort no matter where you go! I don't know.

Hello! I just wanted to make a notice that I am going to start reblogging indie rpers seeking a partner(s)! No specific application will be required, just make a post with what you are seeking, tag it with #krpnetindie and I will add your post to the queue!

I am also entertaining the idea of opening up rp reviews or krp thoughts submissions! I would love to hear thoughts on this from roleplay admins and roleplay members equally!

Also, given the last ask— I am very committed to keeping a list of active and open roleplays! As I can’t join every roleplay myself, I am very open to tips on when roleplays are deemed inactive! I can only go by their blog activity and sometimes it’s not an accurate depiction of what is going on!
