REVENGE sounded sweet. BUT, not if it were at the cost of SOMEONE ELSE’S ‘ life ’. Krul’s lips wanted to curl into a smile, but instead she bit down. She would not allow for Lest Karr to ruin himself for her sake. She was tired of people sacrificing for her – being unable to return anything back their way. Or worse, never seeing them again. The queen clutched onto his hands tightly. Clutching like how she wished she had done for Asura. That fear never left her. The fear of abandonment. She was on the verge of tears.

“ No. You’re not leaving my sight. ” I don’t want you to leave forever. The queen was not aware that she might’ve sounded childish, but this was how she felt. Lest might’ve not known about her memories yet, but she would tell him some day. For now, she clinged onto him desperately. I don’t want to lose someone so precious in my life… “ I’ll hurt them on my own accord… Let it be. ” It’s fine. “  Just please.. ” Don’t leave me alone. Krul didn’t want to imagine the battle scars he would go through because of her. Stay with me.

He walks up to Krul - almost RUSHING - before pushing into her arms unceremoniously more than a few boxes of chocolate, and two bouquets of roses - a mix variety of different colours that he considered represented their relationship, but also sneakily, after some reluctance and hard thinking, adding a single red rose in the bouquet as well. With his cheeks flushed red, he quickly mutters, but speaks in an audible tone, "Happy Valentines Day, Krul. These are for you..." Then: "Ihopeyoulikethem."

The unexpected GOOD turn of events were always something Krul had favored. She normally did not think of much of Valentine’s day. Only due to the fact that she lacked any care for it. It was just another day, a hindrance. Especially when Ferid Bathory would profess his love. All she believed to be lies.

Startled by the sudden PUSH, she nearly reacted with a punch. But, her hands were filled before she could do that. Eyes filled with bewilderment, a soft gasp was released. What’s this ? 

Her former enemy now reverted back to how she saw him when she was ‘ younger ’. Seeing his cheeks grow just as bright red as hers was made her somewhat relieved. The queen’s hands held onto her gifts delicately. “ You sure went above and beyond, Lest Karr. ” She lifted his hat and gave him a gentle peck on his forehead. “ You’re a weird one. ” But I guess I am too. Her smile made it clear, that yes, she did like them. No, loved them.

Lest’s sudden confession immediately quieted her down. Wait -- what? She wasn’t sure if she heard correctly. However, the flush on his face indicated that he wasn’t kidding.. It made her own cheeks bloom bright red. Krul felt somewhat guilty for joking around when he was being serious. He.. he really does care for me? 

Never did she enjoy the 14th, only because Ferid was always asking her. Just as Lest said. Despite all the times she denied, he continued to pursue her. She would’ve tolerated him more if he gave her chocolates, but other than that, she dreaded this holiday. But, this time, Lest was the one confessing to her. And... she felt.. happy about it? She wasn’t sure, but she knew that she felt that she was stirred.. unnecessarily. In a good way of course. 

Since when... She didn’t think that Lest would ever like her this way. I have to give him an answer.. She may have claimed to ‘hate him’ or ‘he’s my rival’. But, somehow, she couldn’t find herself rejecting him. Krul enjoyed all the times she has teased him. All the times she had ran into him, even though she was somewhat irritated sometimes. He was close to her before, and distant another. But now, it seems that they were gradually becoming close again one step at a time. Remembering how she danced with him -- how she enjoyed him being her partner. 

There was no way she would reject. But, it was harder to get the word, ‘yes’ out of her mouth. He confessed to me with all his might though.. I should at least do the same.. “Do you really..?” She looked at him with innocent eyes; displaying all signs that she was vulnerable. Please don’t mess with a maiden’s heart...  “I would.. be happy to be your Valentine, Lest Karr..” She looked down with embarrassment, grabbing the front edges of the ruffles on her skirt.
