His brilliant all-round performance, including an unbeaten 73* off 47 balls, set the stage for a remarkable partnership with Virat Kohli, as RCB successfully chased down 163 runs in just 18.3 overs.
A Stellar Partnership: Kohli and Krunal's 119-Run Stand
The 119-run partnership between Krunal and Virat Kohli was not only the highest for RCB in the IPL 2025 season but also the best for the fourth wicket or lower across the tournament so far. Kohli contributed a solid 51, while Krunal's explosive knock, which included five fours and four sixes, set up RCB’s chase. His strike rate of 155.32 was a testament to his aggressive intent and situational awareness.
Speaking about his innings, Krunal praised Kohli’s support, highlighting how the seasoned batsman helped him regain his rhythm. "It was a bit scratchy in the beginning, but when you have someone like Virat at the other end, it makes a world of difference. When the team has that kind of firepower, you know that the game is never out of reach," he added.
