"Somehow, I don't think I want you to leave."
Early mornings were never James’s preferred time of day, nonetheless he simply had to get up, work was painfully mandatory after all. James quietly removed the sheets as Sumin was still dozing off, he paused for a second and looked at her, the way she slept was strangely adorable.
He bent over and grabbed his sweater from the floor along various other belongings such as his socks, phone and shirt. James slowly crept into the kitchen to grab his backpack, as he was picking up his backpack he glanced out the window panes, the sky, painted with shades of dark blue with pigments of light orange from the sun just rising ever so slightly due to the fact that it was just past 5am, left James in complete awe.
As he made his way over to the door, the memories of the night crept its way back into his mind, both him and Sumin had both had such an enjoyable night, they talked, they laughed, they enjoyed simply being in the presence of one another. It had been a while, for both of them in fact, since they had laughed and smiled that much in the company of a person of the opposite sex. James gripped the door knob tightly, he froze still for a second and smiled to himself reminiscing about the thoughts of last night. Just as he was about to gently turn the knob, someone had come up behind him and hugged him from behind wrapping their arms around his body and embracing him. It was Sumin.
“What are you doing Sumie?” he asked her, his lips curled into a soft smile as he slowly turned around. Once he had turned around Sumin wrapped her arms around him once more this time burying her face inside of his chest. “I have to go now Sumie…I’ll be late” he told her as he stroked her hair, running his fingers through her long soft strands of dark brown hair. “Thank you for last night, I had the best night ever but…I’ve got to go now” he told her as he pouted slightly whilst she looked up at him into his eyes whilst still clinging on to him tightly. “I know but…” she said quietly, James could feel the vibration of her voice inside of his chest.
“Somehow, I don’t think I want you to leave.”
