My theory on why Squid Game is working so well, aside from it just being a great story, is that so many characters wear masks. Iv never been a subs guy, in anime or otherwise. Iv got ADD like a motherfucker and subs require way too much attention on a single thing for me, but I also didn’t like when the mouths didn’t match the words, it was hard for me to get through the first episode, but once more and more characters in masks were introduced and spent more time on screens obviously we couldn’t see their masks so there was no sync issue. It made it seem like even the unmasked characters were synced better. Just my 2 cents

Alestorm is dope af iv seen them twice, always put on a good show. They like to throw covers in a lot. Kiss from a rose, the rugrats theme song, in the navy etc

i’ve been a huge fan since high school so even though i’ve never seen them live i’m glad i’ve only heard great stuff about them……….so iconic

Top 5 commander decks you've played against/borrowed from a friend

5) Child of Alara- LUCKY CHARMS, this was a super gimicky deck that a person at my LGS had that was built around casting all the charms they could, it was real fun, and surprisingly good at holding up

4) Akiri, Line Slinger w/ Silas Renn, Seeker Adept- EGGS Another deck from one of the spikier players at the LGS, this deck was quite enjoyable to play against, even if it did take a while to combo off

3) Sharuum, the Hegemon- This was a deck I built for a friend, and they piloted it quite well, and it was always fun to see them enjoying it

4) Atarka, World Render- A deck from another friend, this was the first deck they ever built,m and they have been tweaking it ever since, making it truly a force to be reckoned with.

5 Brion Stoutarm- CAPTAIN FLING There is just something fun about a giant picking up creatures and throwing them. Yes it was scary whenever the friend who ran this deck got out his Grafted Exoskeleton, but it certainly was a fun deck to play against.

One of my good friends married another good friend, and then she let it slip that he had a “to punish and enslave” tattoo on his waist right above his junk. 🤦🏻‍♂️

My gf’s father passed very suddenly last week. We already had tickets to see Endgame tonight that we bought months ago but I figured she wouldn’t want to go since it’s bound to be emotionally heavy but she says she’s going because she doesn’t want to get spoiled. I fear endgame is going to wreck her pretty hard.

Also the cap stuff in homecoming likely isn’t a nationwide thing anymore, Peter’s principal is Principal Morita, the grandson of Jim Morita, one of the howling commandos who served beside Cap in WW2. (And the same actor plays both Moritas) so likely he decided that cap being a fugitive is BS and kept playing them out of respect for Cap and his grandfather
