Kara’s and Lena’s names in Kryptonian writing! I just wanted to get that out there.
They are written based on pronunciation and not on the english writing of the names.
I ’ve been researching and studying Kryptonian lately and I stumbled upon Darren Doyle and his amazing and enlightening work on Kryptonian language. For anyone interested, you can find his work (so neatly organized!) on http://kryptonian.info.
It was kinda difficult for me to distinguish the sounds of the letters and decide which I would use for each sound, so I used an IPA guide and I also cross-referenced some of the letters with the kryptonian-english alphabet that came with the graphic novel Superman/Batman:Supergirl (Issues Superman/Batman 8-13).
