JT: Hey, how're you holding up?
Confessions II mattytorres
Kylee confesses to wanting to keep the baby, and Matt and Katie have a long talk about what they're going to do.
Matt couldn't stay in Cancun forever with his father. He had wanted to get back early, so he took a late flight out of the city sunday, getting back to his home in the middle of the night his mother was up and he shook his head. "Not tonight ma." the woman hugged him. "I love you." He said softly to the woman but he was exhausted as he went into his room and dropped his bag, looking over at the bed he saw there was a person in it smiling softly. Matty climbed into bed and laid there, closing his eyes he wrapped an arm around Kylee's sleeping figure. He kissed her forehead before he closed his eyes and fell fast asleep.
Kylee had had another bad night with her mom and had left to go spend the night in Matt's bed, not knowing that he had gotten on a flight out of the city to get home in the middle of the night. She was curled up in his bed, feeling safe. "Okay," Katie told him. "I love you too," she said, kissing his head, and then went upstairs to bed. Kylee didn't feel him get into bed, but she immediately cuddled into him, feeling safe and warm. She woke up around four and blinked, seeing him next to her, making her smile. "Oh, Matty," she whispered softly. "I...I don't know what to do," she frowned. "I...don't know if I can do this...if I can give the baby up...I don't...I don't think I can do it. And...I know that that's what you want to do...and I just want to make you happy. But...i'm scared I won't be strong enough...and I'm afraid I'll turn out like my own mother...and I can't live with myself if I turn into her," she whispered, shaking her head.
Matt held his girlfriend close in his arms as she cuddled up to him. Matty had heard his name and woke up enough to hear her confession, it crushed him. He didn't want the baby, not at all. He bit back the sigh that he had wanted to leave his lips as he just tightened his arm around her. Not wanting her to know that he had heard her. But at the same time he didn't think she'd ever turn into her mother but Matty didn't know the half of it she never opened up to him and any time they hung out it was never over hers. Matty just kept quiet, wishing that he could do something for her and find the strength to keep their child but he just didn't think he could.
Kylee never wanted to confess any of that to Matt, not thinking that he needed to know how she was feeling. She was just...afraid of him turning her away if he knew that she really wanted this baby and didn't want to give it up. She felt him tighten his arm around her and just laid back down, not thinking anything of it. The question of if she would ever turn into her mother honestly kept her up at night sometimes, even though she didn't want to admit it. She closed her eyes and just cupped her stomach, not feeling a bump yet, but she knew that once she did, the disattachment she was creating would vanish completely.
Matt noticed that Kylee had fallen asleep and his eyes opened, his father might of been right again, and he hated that. He didn't want his dad to be correct. But if she wanted to keep the baby? He felt like a real piece of shit man right now as he just rubbed her back softly, he glanced down at her hand on her stomach. There was his child in there. He wasn't going to be sleeping any time soon, Matty gently let her go as he slipped from bed, and then slipped out his window he went and sat by the pool as he just dipped his feet in and stared out at the water as it reflected back at him.
Kylee fell back asleep, feeling exhausted from all the emotions she had been feeling. She didn't notice him getting out of bed, but she woke up again a few minutes later with morning sickness and rushed into the bathroom, throwing up. She prayed that nobody woke up to hear her. When she finished, she leaned back and flushed the toilet, realizing that Matt had gotten out of bed. She frowned and cleaned up, before going to look for him, walking into the kitchen and seeing him out by the pool. She walked outside and sat down next to him. "Why're you out here, Matty?" Kylee asked, looking at him.
Matt didn't know how long he sat outside, he was so exhausted he didn't think he'd be going to school today. Matt looked like hell as he just tried to decide what was right and what was wrong. Matt heard his girlfriend and jumped a bit as his heart raced he gripped the edge of the pool and then shrugged. He pulled his legs out of the water, his feet looked like prunes as he shook his head. "I dunno woke up and then couldn't sleep... think it's the jet lag or something. "Matt lied and hoped she didn't catch on. Matty just bit his lip.
Kylee looked at him as he jumped as she sat down. "Sorry," she said, biting her lip. She sat cross legged next to him and looked down at the pool, noticing how nice it was. Everything about his life was just so...nice. And then there she was, she didn't fit in in this house, she didn't fit into his family, she was surprised they weren't trying to get her to get rid of the baby. She looked at him and nodded her head. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said, biting her lip and looking down. She gave him a small smile, not sure of what to say to him right now.
Matt looked down at her when she joined him and he nudged against her. "What have you been doing sleeping in my bed all weekend?" Matty questioned but he didn't mind as he rubbed her knee. He looked back at the pool and shook his head. "Don't be sorry I am the one that should be sorry." Matty said softly and then looked at her. "You woke me up last night when you said my name... so I.. yeah.." Matty said softly, he had been out here the entire time trying to decide if he'd just break up with her and get rid of all of this baby stuff surrounding him.
Kylee bit her lip and looked down when he spoke. "Kind of...sorry," she apologized, shaking her head. "I'm going to go back soon," she told him. Kylee felt him rub her knee, and looked at him, confused when he said he should be the one who's sorry. "What? Why?" She asked, biting her lip, confused. She listened to him admit that he had heard her confession and felt her body go cold. "Matt...you weren't supposed to hear that," she said, shaking her head, feeling guilty. She didn't want him to want to keep this baby just because she wanted the baby, she wanted him to decide that for himself.
Matt shook his head as he looked at her. "it's fine I told you my window was open, I kinda like coming home to my girl in my bed it was nice being able to curl up with you." Matty told her as he then admitted that he had heard her confession. "I figured I wasn't... so I came out here, trying to figure out what was right or wrong, and none of it ever made sense to me. I dunno what to do..but whatever it is we do, I promise you that I won't let you turn into your mom... you are too caring to ever be her." Matty relented as he leaned over and kissed her softly.
Kylee looked at him and smiled slightly. "I know you did...but I don't want you to get sick of me," she shrugged. "I just...didn't want to be with my mom this weekend," she admitted. She looked at him and then looked down at the pool again, not knowing what to say or do to make things better. "I...don't think...we should make any decisions now," she said softly. "We still have so long to figure things out," she shrugged. Kylee looked at him when he spoke and smiled slightly. "Thank you for that," she said, kissing him back. "I just...never want a child I have to feel like I hate them."
Matt laid back against the cement, and then traced her back. "Nah I'd never get sick of you." Matty replied as he shrugged. "It's fine I don't really care, my beds comfy I know." Matty teased her and then bit his lip he knew they'd have months to figure things out. "I don't think so either, until we understand what being a parent means I mean look at my mom she had kids and she's not doing anything with her life I just don't want you to turn into that." Matty replied and then smiled against her lips. "I get it.. but at the same time I don't want our kids to hate us because you know I suck at being a father or some shit."
Kylee looked at him and turned her body to face him as he laid back against the cement. She bit her lip and gave him a small smile. "Thank you. It meant a lot to me to have somewhere I could go," she said honestly. Kylee gave him a small smile and nodded her head. "I know," she said. "Matt, let's just say that my future has never been very bright," she shrugged. "Everyone is expecting this out of me," she told him, shaking her head slightly. "I just...want to prove people wrong." Kylee gave him a small smile and nodded. "I don't think you would ever be a bad father," she shrugged.
Matt looked up at her. "You have here to go always, no matter what even if were not together.. you can just crash in the spare room." Matty replied and then he looked confused. "Expecting what to be barefoot and pregnant?" Matt questioned a bit confused he didn't like the idea of people thinking about his girl that way. "You can prove people wrong babe, and I dunno I don't think I'd be a very good one." Matty said and then bit his lip.
Kylee bit her lip and gave him a small smile. "Thank you," she said, kissing his cheek. "It's nice to know I have a secret getaway sometimes." Kylee nodded her head. "To be like my mom...my father...to have a bunch of kids before i'm twenty," she shrugged. Kylee didn't like it, but she was used to it. It's what she was always used to. She gave him a small smile. "I have faith in you, Matty, really. But...we don't need to make any decisions right now or even tomorrow...we have eight months."
Matt nodded gently as he sighed out. "I like having you here." Matty replied and then he widened his eyes. "Well um if we have a bunch of kids I may just shoot myself." Matty joked and then he kissed her arm. "Sorry.. I didn't mean to get you pregnant." Matty felt bad he knew she was better than her parents. "Yeah I know we do.. for what it's worth I think you could of gone to college and made something of yourself I believe that in you." Matty replied.
Kylee looked at him as he sighed. "I like being here," she told him. Kylee laughed and shook her head. "I don't want a lot of kids. At least not now. I don't even know...how I feel about having one baby," she admitted. She shook her head. "It's not your fault," she told him. Kylee gave him a small smile and kissed his cheek. "You're very sweet for saying that," she said, honestly. "But I would need a full scholarship to go to college and that will never happen, so high school will be where it ends for me."
Matt smiled gently, he liked being home most of the time too. "I mean I didn't mind kids like when I was twenty six." He said about a shrug and then he gave her a look. "I got you pregnant pretty sure it is." He told her flatly as she then kissed his cheeks. "No problem babe, I just believe in you." He replied and then shook his head. "Theirs financial aid. That could help you get into one if you really wanted to go." Matty said with a shrug before he sat up.
Kylee looked at him and rested back, nodding her head. "I understand," she told him. "That...would be different," she told him, biting her lip. She laughed softly and shrugged. "It's not the end of the world," she told him as she kissed his cheek. "Nobodys...ever believed in me," she told him, knowing that it was true. "I don't know...it would be a lot to pay back...and paying back debts with no money...well, that's a problem."
Matt looked at his girlfriend. "Wanna come cuddle with me? I think you should go to school today but you got a little while at least, I think I am still skipping out on today." Matt knew he'd go to baseball later but other than that he wasn't going to move from his bed. "Well I believe in you." Matt said as he lifted her up and led her back into his room. "You can figure it out, and aid you don't have to pay back." He said with a shrug as he shook his head.
Kylee bit her lip and nodded her head when he spoke. "I'd like that," she told him. She sighed and nodded her head. "I know I should...but I'm glad that you'll have time to relax. You deserve it," she told him. Kylee kissed him gently. "Thank you." She smiled when he lifted her up and led her back into his room, shrugging. "I guess...I just...never even thought about going to college."
Matt led her to his bed as he collapsed down on it and kissed her back. "Yeah me too, I feel like since I found out you were pregnant I haven't rested a moment." Matty tossed his boxers off and onto the floor as just a thin sheet covered his bottom half. "No problem babe." Drew said as he smirked a bit. "Well you have time to think about it, say two years to think about it." He replied
Kylee looked at him as he collapsed onto the bed and just sat down, knowing that she was going to have to go to school soon. "I'm sorry," she apologized, frowning and wishing that things could be different. She got into bed with him again and rested her head on his chest. "I know," she said, nodding her head. "I'll...figure it out eventually," she shrugged, giving him a small smile.
Matt didn't want Kylee to leave him today but he knew it'd be a good thing, he'd get some time with his mom. "You going to go home after school or what?" Matty questioned knowing she didn't like home but he wasn't sure if she was coming back over or not. "No pressure babe it's just a thought yeah?" He said as he looked down at her stomach for a moment he then moved his large hand over the flesh that up until now he hadn't dared to touch. Matty had just closed his eyes as he felt calm by the fact she was right there.
Kylee bit her lip as he asked what she was going to do after school. "Oh, um, this elderly woman asked if I could help her clean up her place, so I'm going there after school to help her out," Kylee told him, giving him a small smile. She nodded her head as he spoke. "I know, I don't feel pressure," She assured him. But in some ways she did, knowing that Matt thought that she was a good person, a person who had some money. Kylee felt his hand on her stomach and smiled slightly, putting her hand over his big one as she took a few deep breaths. "You should get some sleep," she told him gently.
Matt looked confused. "You helping an elderly woman? You aren't going to beat her up for lunch money are you?" Matty questioned and then he nodded. "Even if you need some help my mom would probably be glad to help, she's a sucker for a lost cause just look at my dad." He said laughing softly, he nodded kissing her lips softly before he rolled over and kept his back to her as he laid on his side and fell asleep
Kylee bit her lip and shook her head. "I'm not that bad," she told him. "But she's one of my neighbors...she's sweet," Kylee told him softly, shrugging. She looked at him and gave him a small smile. "That would be nice of her...but I'm not going to be a charity case," she told him, her pride showing. Kylee kissed his lips and just sat there, rubbing his back as he slept, knowing that she had to head home soon to get ready for school and totally dreading it.
Matt "I was teasing claws away babe." Matty told her and then he nodded. "That's nice of you though beautiful." Matty sighed at her words, she wasn't a charity case. "It's called she likes taking care of people I love." Matty mumbled the last word in efforts that she wouldn't hear him or understand, as he felt her rubbing his back it cause for his breathing to even out.
Kylee looked at him and laughed softly. "Sorry," she said. Kylee shrugged her shoulders. "She's nice and it's the least I can do," she said. The woman paid her and she desperately needed the money now that her mom had gone through the food. She just rubbed his back and didn't make out what he had said. She leaned over and kissed his forehead. "Have a nice day, I love you," she whispered before she slipped out the window and made her way home.
Matt nodded. "Its sweet have fun babe." He told her as she rubbed his back, he knew she had said something sweet as he felt her lips on his forehead his lips curled up in a slight smile before his sleeping figure buried himself more into his sheets, feeling happier now than he had in a long time, for once feeling loved by someone that only loved him and not a whole brood.
Katie let Matt sleep for a few hours before she went into his room with the tea that she used to make him when he was little when he stayed home from school. She put it down on his bedside table and gently woke him up. "Matty, sweetie, you need to wake up," she told him. Katie rubbed his back and waited for him to wake up, wanting to talk to him about what went on this weekend and just...see where he stood on things.
Matt stretched softly when his mother woke him up. "Five more minutes mommy." Matty mumbled as he held his pillow tighter to his head as he felt her continue to rub his back so he rubbed his eyes and sat up. "Hi mom." Matty said softly looking at his bedside table, he picked up the mug and took a sip relaxing back. "What's up?" Matty questioned still trying to wake up.
Katie looked at him and smiled as he spoke, just rubbing his back and waiting for him to wake up more. "Now, Matty, you need to start waking up," she told him. She smiled at him and kissed his forehead. "Hi baby, I missed you this weekend," she told him. She watched him take a sip of his tea and relax back. "I just wanted to talk to you," she told him. "Without Kylee or your dad around here."
Matt woke up for his mom as he rubbed his eyes. "What time is it?" He wondered and then smiled at the kiss. "I missed you too ma." Matty said with a big grin he always loved being around his mother. "Bout what?" He asked confused not sure what his mother was getting at. "Is this the part where you tell me where Blake was finally abducted by aliens and I'm the only twin left standing?" He joked.
Katie smiled at him and laughed softly. "Around eleven. I let you sleep and stay home," she said, biting her lip. "I had breakfast with Kylee on Saturday and got to know her a little more," Katie told him. She laughed as he spoke and shook her head. "You're so bad," she teased him, shaking her head. "Blake is not an alien nor was he abducted," she said, shaking her head. "i wanted to talk to you about this...situation, about the baby and Kylee."
Matt nodded. "I didn't want to go to school anyways." He said laughing softly but his face fell. "Look whatever you think of her she's a great girl mom," He said not sure what she had said to his girlfriend and then he smirked. "Bad to the bone yup." He puffed out his chest and then rolled his eyes. "Damn." Matty stopped and looked at the cup. "what about it? She's having a baby."
Katie looked at him and shook her head. "You have to go tomorrow, you already missed two days in a row," she said, giving him a look. Katie shook her head. "No, Matty, I agree. She is a good girl, I liked getting to talk to her more," Katie told him. Katie laughed. "You shouldn't be proud of that, Matt," she told him. Katie looked at him and gave him a look. "You're not really saying much about it...what're you thinking?"
Matt held up his hands. "I'm going I promise but the swim team its excused absence you know that." He replied and then relaxed when his mother liked her, his brothers hated her and it got on his nerves. "I think that's a good thing? You two talking.." He said unsure and then he rolled his eyes. "Tell your other twin boy that." Matty shot back as he set the cup down. "I'm just too jumbled right now and confused... she wants to keep the baby, dad flipped shit on me about adoption.. he'd be disappointed in me, and ugh I just hate it all. I want it all to go away."
Katie looked at him and nodded her head. "I know it is, but its still absences." Katie looked at him when he relaxed and ran her hand through his hair, nodding her head. "I do too, I like it," she told him, nodding his head. "She seems...troubled, but I like her," Katie told him. She frowned when he spoke. "I will tell him," she told him, shaking her head. She listened to him talk and kissed his head. "I love you, Matt," she told him. "You're my son and I just want whats best for you," she told him, rubbing his back. "And I don't want you making rash decisions that you'll grow to regret one day."
Matt watched his mom as she repremended him once more. "Yah I know ma." He relaxed in his mothers touch. " Glad someone gets along with her." Matty replied and then bit his lip hard. "She just didn't grow up the same way I have, she's got it rough at home is all I think the fact were rich puts her off, her family has nothing really so its like you and dad when you first started off the struggle you guys had." He replied and shrugged. "Good." He said with a smirk and then loved his mothers kiss. "I love you too, mom." He replied and then he sighed. "I don't know what is right though, everyone thinks of her as this slut and that is nothing more than like you.. not saying you are a slut just the whole pregnant and doing nothing else.. I want more for her than that." Matty replied as he picked at his sheet thread. "I just think giving it away is best. Give it to some family that can raise it I can't. I think about it and it gives me a headache.. I just want it all to disappear."
Katie looked at him and let him relax. "As long as you know," She said, kissing his head. She bit her lip and sighed. "I know that your brothers don't like her, but I don't know why." Katie listened to him and grew nervous. "Rough?" Katie asked him. "What do you mean rough?" Katie's eyes widened as she said that her family had nothing. "Matty...how bad is it for her?" Katie immediately felt something for the young girl, thinking about how scared she must be. Katie nodded her head as he sighed. She listened to him talking about how people saw Kylee at school and she just wanted to take this young girl under her wing and make things better for her. "My life wasn't over from having you kids," Katie told him, honestly. "I love being a mom," she told him, shaking her head. Katie listened to him talk and nodded slowly. "I understand that, Matty. But I also think that you would be an incredible father if you let yourself," she told him, shaking her head. "You're a good boy and I think that you should just...consider keeping the baby. But maybe...you two should talk to someone about this."
Matt shifted a bit on his bed when she mentioned his girlfriend. "They think its because of her I've changed." Matty said with a shrug and saw his mothers nervous look and he shook his head. "She doesn't talk about it much but I leave my window open so she has somewhere to go, so I know that she doesn't want to be home I just don't know why." He said softly hoping his girlfriend wouldn't kill him for this. "She doesn't want to be a charity case though, but whenever we go out I have to pay for everything, not that I mind.. it just seems like she never has any money." Matty replied with a shrug. "But I don't want to be you and dad!" Matt snapped finally as he looked at his mother. "I don't want to be you guys, mom, you can't say things are great with dad." Matty got out of bed and pulled a pair of boxers and shorts on. Matt shook his head. "I don't want to be my father, just like Kylee doesn't want to be her mother, to me keeping the baby sounds like a disaster. Dad says I'd have to quit the surf team if we kept the baby and I'm not doing that no way in hell." Matty growled growing angry as he ran a stressed hand through his hair. "I will tell you what I told dad. She keeps that baby, I am dumping her ass." Matty told his mother and shook his head.

Katie looked at him and listened. "I think you've changed too, but not in a bad way," Katie told him. She didn't like the idea of Kylee having a rough home life, being reminded of her own abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. "Have you ever talked about it?" She asked him. "Asked her why she does what she does? Have you ever been over her house?" Katie asked, biting her lip and looking at him. "What about her parents?" Katie nodded her head slowly, a bad feeling in her stomach. She knew that something was wrong, and they had to find out what it was. Katie looked taken aback when Matt snapped at her, frowning and listening to him talk, shaking her head. "I'm not telling you you have to keep it, i'm telling you that you need to look at all of your options to find the right one, Matt. Would I like for you to keep the baby? Of course, but it's not my decision, its your decision with Kylee." Katie grew angry when he spoke. "Matthew, your father and I raised you better than that, to leave that poor girl alone with no one to help her."
Matt looked at his mother and shrugged. "Either way." He replied as he heard her assault of questions his eyes widened a bit. "She isn't the openest book ma." He told her and then he shook his head. "No I have never been to her house, her mom is the only one she talks about if ever, never has a good thing to say tho. Her dad I think is outta the picture." Matty replied and then he sighed. "I am, and my options is not giving everyone the satisfaction of becoming you and dad or thinking you are worth nothing more than the pregnant self she is, can't you all stop and think that I am trying to protect her?" Matty replied and then he heard his mother's angry tone. "Why? It's not my problem! It's hers! That damn baby is hers!" Matty shouted back at his mother, as he just lost it, he was tired of everyone trying to change his mind he didn't want the baby not at all.
Katie looked at him and watched his eyes widen at her questions. She nodded her head slowly as he spoke, frowning and just feeling for the young girl who clearly had a lot on her plate. "I think that you should try to get her to open up a little bit, okay?" Katie told him, rubbing his back. "I just...don't like that we don't know what's going on at her house." Katie was quiet as he spoke, knowing that he needed to get his feelings out. "We're not trying to force you into keeping this baby, Matt. If both of you want to go with adoption, then i'll support you," Katie said, shaking her head. "It's not just her problem and you know that Matthew," she said calmly. "That child is both of yours and you can't run away from this, Matt," she told him. "It doesn't work like that."
Matt rubbed his forehead as he looked at his mother. "I'm trying mom okay?" He told her as he felt the elder woman rubbing his back he just hugged her gently. "Trust me I don't either." Matty wish he knew how to help but he pulled back when she talked about the baby he had enough talking about it as he paced his room. "No, no one is giving me a choice, you, dad, her all want that baby. I don't. I don't want the baby." Matty replied as he gripped his hair with one of his hands and then he whipped around to her. "why not! I can run from the fact that I am in love with her, and i can run from that baby too, its easy, all I gotta do is call her up and tell her its over. Leave her out on her ass and that's it its not my problem anymore." Matty said coldly to his mother, as he glared at the woman ,he wasn't mad at her, he was mad at himself but his mother was the only one around for him to get his anger out on.
Katie looked at him and nodded her head. "I know," she told him. "You're such a good boy, Matty," Katie told him, smiling and hugging him back. She nodded her head. "I know you don't, and I'm proud of you for offering her somewhere to go if she needs it," she said, kissing his head. She watched him pace across the floor, frowning and closing her eyes. "What about an open adoption?" Katie asked him. She didn't want to say goodbye to her grandchild, but she knew it wasn't her choice. She just sat there as he spoke coldly to her, being reminded of his father. "Oh, Matty," she said, standing up and just hugging him, comforting him. "It's going to be okay...everythings going to be okay," she told him soothingly, rubbing his back.
Matt didn't feel like a good boy anymore, he felt like he was the worst son possible and his parents would wake up one day and regret having him. "I didn't like the idea of her being vulnerable somewhere, when she's safe here in my arms." Matty replied as he rubbed his arms as he just paced. "I don't think I am strong enough for that, then my child would grow up why mommy and daddy could see him or her, and not be with them.. or I'd have to hear my child call someone else dad, I think that'd kill me." Matty finally admitted as he then felt his mothers arms around him he clung to her and then he shook his head. "No its not mom, nothings okay anymore." He said as he sobbed into her chest.
Katie looked at him and knew that she would never regret any of her children or the decisions she made. She loved her sons and her daughter and she wanted them to know that. Katie nodded her head. "I'm sure she likes that too, Matty," Katie told him. She listened to him talk, nodding her head and frowning slightly. "Okay, well I just want you to know of the options there are, okay? And we'll still love you if you and Kylee give this baby up for adoption, nothing will change that," she told him. Katie held him tightly as he clung to her, hearing her son sob broke her head. She kissed his head and just whispered soothingly, letting him cry and get his emotions out, knowing that he really did need it.
Matt nodded, he knew Kylee did, he heard her last night when she talked and he knew he let his girlfriend down. Matty just clung to his mom as she soothed him with her soft words after a while he pulled back and wiped his puffy eyes as he moved over and sat on his bed looking drained. "She spoke last nigh to me.. or well to the baby how she thought I was right that I thought she'd be a bad mother that she is one." Matty just took a few shaky breaths. "I didn't sleep all night, I just sat out by the pool and wondered what I had done." Matty really did have a heart of gold once he found a way to get his anger out but that anger he pent up was never healthy for himself or the ones around him, he just stared off zoned out for a bit.
Katie looked at him and knew that there was a lot on his plate. She hated that her little boy was so stressed, that things weren't turning out how they were supposed to. She wished that she could just make it all better as he pulled back. She wiped his tearstained cheeks, remembering when he was a little boy. She listened to him speak and nodded her head as he spoke. "Oh, sweetie," she told him, softly, cupping his cheek. "Matty, you didn't do anything. I think that Kylee's afraid of what she's feeling...and she's probably feeling very alone and conflicted, especially if her mother isn't there for her. You need to think about how things are for her, Matty. I don't think that she meant it to make you feel bad."
Matt sighed gently as he felt her wiping his cheeks he gave a small smile to his mother. Leaning into her touch he just closed his eyes. "I just don't know how to make her feel better, I am so clueless in all of this ma. Dad just freaks out he didn't really give me a chance to talk, he didn't realize that I have been angry all week, not at him or anyone just at myself." Matty admitted and he looked up at his mother. "I know she didn't but it did, because I used to be better than this." Matty said as he hung his head and then shook his head. "I wanna go out sorry ma... I just don't feel like being home." He said to her softly.
Katie looked at him and just wished that he didn't have to deal with this so young. Matt and Kylee were younger than her and Drew when they started to deal with this, and they hadn't had the loss that her and Drew suffered. "I know he does. I'll talk to him when he gets back, okay?" Katie promised. "It's going to take time to really understand what's going on, Matty and that's just why i'm telling you don't rush into any kind of decisions. If in three months you still feel the same way, then we'll deal with it then...how does that sound?" Katie asked him. She kissed his head and smiled sadly. "You're a good boy, sweetie." Katie nodded her head when he spoke. "You can go...just don't do anything dangerous?"
Matt just needed to get out of his head space for a while as he nodded. "Yeah okay mom." Matty said sighing softly, he didn't know what was going on or if he'd ever understand it all. "Fine in three months we will make a choice." He knew by then he'd hear the heart beat and all of that if he actually ended up going to her doctors appointments. "She doesn't have insurance by the way is there a way we can get her covered so she can go see a doctor?" He asked his mom and then he smiled a bit. "If you say so." He replied softly, and then nodded. "I'm just going to go window shopping or something." He said with a shrug as he grabbed his keys.
Katie looked at him and gave him a small smile. "Okay," she told him, nodding her head. She knew that Matt didn't know much about babies, and she didn't blame him. "Okay," she said, nodding her head. "I just don't want you to do something that you will regret," she told him. Katie honestly thought that they needed to take some time to talk to someone and figure things out. Katie sighed and nodded her head. "I'll work on it, okay?" She told him. "But tell her not to worry, we'll get her to a doctor, even if we have to pay for the visits," Katie said, money not being an issue for them. "Okay. I love you, Matt," she said, kissing his head.
Matt bit his lip and nodded. "Yeah I know mom." He replied maybe they would talk to someone but not now they needed a month to just savor being kids for a little while longer. Matty nodded. "She doesn't want hand outs she won't like that." He said making a face at how stubborn his girlfriend was. But then he kissed his mothers cheek. "Thanks ma see you later." He replied as he left the house and got into his car driving away.
Katie looked at him and nodded her head. "We still have a lot of time," she told him. Katie looked at him and sighed when he spoke, nodding her head. "We'll figure something out," she promised him. "I'll go call the insurance company," Katie told him, giving him a small smile. She nodded her head and watched him go, still having a bad feeling about what her sons girlfriend was going through.

Zig: Tell me you're going to buy some food, because I'm hungry and there isn't anything I want in the fridge.
Zig: Also you're going to cook it right?
