"The stars look especially lovely tonight."
It was late and the air was freezing, but Caleb had still decided to take a walk outside. He needed some fresh air and time to sort out all the thoughts in his head, since he had a lot on his mind. He didn't have any specific place he was heading to, so he just decided to explore the city.
As Caleb was roaming around he kept thinking how nice it would be to talk to someone. He had started his day with an awful mood, so he'd been ignoring every call and message he got, but he was starting to feel better. He observed the people around him, but none of them looked like they wanted to be bothered. So he kept going on his way.
After a while, he arrived to a park and something, or more like someone caught his eye. A female sitting on a small bench almost hidden at the side of the park. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts, and Caleb knew this was someone he could go and talk to, so he went around the park to that exact bench, and sat next to her without hesitation. "I hope you don't mind if I sit here?" he asked, flashing a smile at the female. She shook his head, returning the smile. "No, I don't mind", she said and turned her head, looking up at the sky.
Caleb wanted to say something, but he had so many things he could say that suddenly he didn't know how to choose. Luckily, after a moment the female's soft voice cut the silence. "The stars look especially lovely tonight." The male looked up as well, smiling warmly to himself. "You're right", he said and then leaned a bit closer to the female, extending his hand beside her face, pointing at one of the stars. "You see those three lined up there? Look how dim the middle one is. It's probably gone out. It doesn't exist, but we still see it. To us, it exists. How oddly wonderful is that?"
