[ It has been awhile, huh? I am going to revamp in the future. ]
indefinite hiatus
[ I think it is time for me to stop denying the inevitable truth. It is no secret that I have not been active here for MONTHS. Real life is stressful and busy, and I just cannot get myself to sit down and come here anymore. It is really sad. I love this muse and really want to continue interactions (I love you all so much ;;;), but that just isnât what is happening. When I do have time, I dread even thinking about it because the prospect of replying is stressing me out, too. I always worry I am not good enough, so even when I do have time, I never write a new reply. So, with a heavy heart, I will accept the truth and announce that this blog is on an indefinite hiatus. I really appreciate everyone who put up with me and interacted with this lil stinker, Himchan. It has brought a lot of good memories, and I am glad I met you guys.. but this is not a good bye forever! Maybe in the future I will return, either here or with a new muse, and, of course, we can stay in touch if you so choose ;) I really appreciate you all, and I hope the holiday seasons are good to you ;;; ]

The kitsuneâs embarrassment was so evident that she could probably outstretch her taloned fingers and manage to TOUCH it, if only she wanted to; fortunately for him, being frightened by the sudden appearance of a gray tinted hand had wounded her overly large ego quite a lot and despite the fact that his situation was much WORSE, neither of them could really refer to themselves with the adjective âvictoriousâ â A bitter taste was left upon her serpentine tongue as she threw one last glance to her surroundings, ensuring that no one was close enough to catch her off guard once more. Dainty hands curled inwardly and quite unconsciously, her lengthy but carefully manicured nails were pushed against the supple flesh of her palms, leaving tiny and barely visible laceration that would have eventually healed in the briefest of times; she HATED this place and there was nothing she wanted to do more than leaving as soon as possible.
A disheartened sigh was barely suffocated once her plush tiers were forcefully pursed together into a thin and horizontal line void of any clear emotion, a successful attempt to embrace a strictly stoic demeanor for the time being. No more screams fell upon her metaphorically ears and by the time she reached the now compacted group, nothing but meaningless and quite annoying chit chats could be heard; these humans seemed to love the adrenaline given by the faux presence of ghosts and zombies and Ahreum had suddenly to fight agains the urge to show them what a real MONSTER could indeed do â How much LOUDER would have they screamed ?Â
The large doors of rotten wood were finally opened and the guests were led to the second room of this terrifying tour: the kitchen of putrid intestines, or so, it was called. Now standing right beside Himchan, the dream-maker wasted no time before painfully tensing her muscles beneath the silken layers of garments she was currently wearing, preparing herself to react at the feeblest of noises and gentlest of touches. â This place smells⊠â Commented the vixen, petite nose scrunching upwards at the loathsome and quite pungent odor of rotten flesh that barely allowed her to breath.
A few more deep breaths of the stale air were inhaled in the hopes to concrete his power over himself for the time being. Placing a hand unto his chest, just where his heart would be, Himchan ensured that he was at least calm enough to continue along. It was the only thing he could do at this point, and he did not want for the same previous events to occur a second time -- and who knows if he would be so lucky to have Ahreum be able to cover his transformation again. If only the tour could have ended right then and there to free him. This had been an event he thought he was able to handle -- all of the scares were props and mere simulations. Nothing was genuine, and, yet, he had still been frightened enough to the point where he had not even the power to control his visage. That in itself was terrifying. In the centuries he had assumed a humanoid body, he hadnât faced many issues, that is, until this prior year.Â
It was as if he had not even heard her speak, though the pervasive scent was indeed making his own nose wrinkle in disgust. An intrusive thought had shoved itself into his brain, demanding he pay attention to it as it just would not fade into the recesses of his mind. He ground his teeth against each other the more he allowed himself to delve into it. âIt... it is your fault.â He whispered, orbs finally shifting back to the other fox and acknowledging her. âIf you hadnât jumped onto me, I wouldnât have fell.â He was quick to pin the blame onto her and glared at her petite frame. Acrimony was directed toward Ahreum as he allowed himself to fall victim to the negativity that was little more than a way to incriminate someone other than himself. However, this time, he was able to hold his composure -- doing nothing more than grimacing at the woman.Â
Jongupâs grin shifted to one of victory and he pumped a fist in the air, letting out a hoot of triumph. He threw an arm around the otherâs shoulder and gave him a friendly squeeze. âI take it youâve had enough of this joke then hmm hyungie? I was to assume this wasnât serious and youâre not just disappointed I didnât turn into a puddle of quivering man upon your attempts at seduction right?â he couldnât help but throw in one last teasing jab at the older man glowering at him.
âNow wait a second. Iâm totally able to handle it. I just donât want to. Totally different.â He let a quiet hmmph and went on his face once again taking on a look of amusement. âI look awsome in a flower crown. Like a greek statue.â Jongup was exaggerating a bit but he has been told he has a rather sharp face, just like said statues. âI bet youâd be pretty in one too. We can get matching ones and pose for pictures on SMS. #YoungWild&Freeâ He laughed almost to himself at his own ridiculousness.
Well thatâs an interesting way to think about it. A vampire being bitten, a taste of theyâre own medicine. âWell if youâd like, feel free to bite me whenever you want. âHe followed his statement with a few eyebrow wiggles. His smile changed from teasing to genuine at the sound of laughter coming from the other. It was sarcastic or dry; it was ⊠nice. âYou should laugh like that more often.
âWh-who said it was a joke?â He quirked an eyebrow, although they both knew all too well that it was. The scowl softened and gradually disappeared, but not before he shoved Jongupâs arm off of him. âHush. I bet if I didnât know you, and, therefore, was not so hesitant to the idea, I could seduce you, but I digress.âÂ
âYou are too soft and cute to..â He argued, giving an adamant shake of his head. âNo. I would not like for you to murder, anyways.â The vampireâs âinnocenceâ was something Himchan would rather he kept. Innocence was far more valuable than he could have ever imagined. âA Greek statue, huh?â The slightest of a chuckle vibrated in his throat. âNow I will be the judge of that.â His sharp eyes scanned over Jongupâs features, though it did not help without an actual flower crown sitting atop his head. âI will have to pass up your offer.â He wrinkled his nose at the idea and found himself confused with the mention of a hashtag. âFlower crowns and cute things do not exactly describe me, if you havenât noticed.â
A groan of annoyance rumbled in his chest at the suggestive remark. âNo, no. I would not even think of you in that way!â He stated matter-of-fact. âI was just--â The fox did not even finish his sentence and waved it off with a hand. âLaugh?â He inquired, not even noticing he had been more authentic with his emotions. It had not even registered in his mind, and he looked on to Jongup in perplexity. âI laugh how I want.âÂ
Lu Han was not surprised at the explanation, and the moment the other spoke about his hunt the wolf could only think about going again himself. It had been a little while after all. He didnât perticularly enjoy it that much but he was a wolf. Well, werewolf. If he didnât go for a while he missed it, it was a part of his life. Plus, he was good at it. It was always fun to use your skills and talents. In response the blonde had hummed though his gaze finally shifted to the fox when asked to go hunt together. He wasnât against the idea, but he did have a few questions. Their styles might just be very different, as a fox and a wolf, and he wasnât sure how far the other wanted to take âtogetherâ. It could jsut be going off together and bringing back a prey each. If he wanted to work together to catch bigger prey, now that was a different story. âI wouldnât say no to some hunting, but we should work together then. Whether it be staying out of each others way or catching something together.â His golden brown eyes were still set on the male, though calm as ever.
Wide, tawny eyes blinked slowly at Lu Han as he waited rather patiently for a response. Since he had already fed on a fawn, he was satiated -- in fact, there was still a portion of meat left on the baby deer. However, if Lu Han should agree to his proposition, there was no way he could reject his own idea. He figured the wolf was hungry, too.Â
âY-yes, of course.â Himchan agreed, giving a quick nod of his head. He was elated at how painless it had been for him to accept the idea. The subtle indications of a smile tugged his lips, and he traced a finger along them to check for anymore dried blood. âI was thinking more of hunting like a pack, like you wolves do. I know I am smaller in size, but I am no ordinary fox and can carry my own weight.â In truth, he was not very experienced in hunting like a wolf pack, since he was a fox, but the idea of attempting to thrilled him.
A foxâs den huhâŠ? Lu Han had watched the strange male settle in, and he had become even odder. No ordinary man would lay down on the bundle of leaves and moss, not unless you were homeless and ran out of cardboard and paper. Either way it didnât make sense to make a home out of the cave. The wolf eyed the man as he laud there and asked his question, but after a long stare he finally got up on his feet again. He shook out his fur for a moment while setting his gaze on the exit and walking towards it. He wasnât sure what the man was thinking or who he was, but⊠Perhaps he was referencing to himself when calling the cave a fox den? He did smell weird from the beginning. It made sense, but at the same time it was a little odd. As he reached the exit the wolf kept walking so he could reach some bushes and disappear between the trees, only to shapeshift back when he got to his clothes. He changed in them and then headed back, standing a little out from the cave entrance with his backpack slung over one shoulder. He didnât say anything or try to make contact just yet, instead waiting to see the other his reaction and if he had even noticed him.
When the wolf did not respond, Himchan felt a sliver of disappointment. It was expected, though. He understood that the embrace of silence was all the wolf had to offer. It was actually somewhat soothing -- to be near the presence of another living being and yet not be required to speak. He had not experienced anything quite like this in years.
As the canine began to stir, Himchan tensed his muscles again to observe as the wolf trotted out of the cave. He supposed he had disturbed the beast too much. A sigh passed his tender lips, and he settled back down into the makeshift bed. However, his focus was elsewhere, outside the cave, listening for the wolf.Â
Alert and continuing to observe the area, he heard footsteps nearing him. His first thought was that the wolf had returned -- but the sound was different from that of the four-legged creature. The fox continued to lay low, waiting for what the strangerâs next move was before he took a course of action, the lowest rumble of a growl in his throat.
What would have been simple to Morningstar, proved almost impossible to Lucifer. There were limits to his powers now, limits he did not find so upsetting until now, when he was about to lose the fox. It was as if the Presence was laughing in his face - look, Lucifer, you are the reason people around you are falling apart, crushing, dying. You are only what I made you to be, Lucifer.
The Archangel looked at the life about to be taken, his cold expression began to contort. A sad smile was given. How long will it take until Himchan is completely consumed by the beast they were not able to detect. He had to rely on his intelligence now more than ever. âWhere have you been? What were you doing during the last twenty four hours?â
The foxâs eyes honed in on Lucifer before they shut. He wanted to conserve the remainder of his energy as best as he could. Death was awaiting, and he knew, but he held firm to the faith that the Archangel could save him from such a demise. Himchan was oblivious to the change in Lucifer -- in fact, he had acted as if nothing had changed between them at all.
He had to suck in a deep breath of air to even continue. âThe forest. C-city..â An idea formed in his mind, and he had to bite down the beginnings of a pained whine. âI-I.. may have gone.. too close to a temple.. Maybe a monk saw me?â It was more of a question -- he didnât know. It was too difficult to use his knowledge to help himself. âPlease.. please just help me. It hurts.â

@misterlux:
This would be Luciferâs first guess, but the longer he thought about it, the more it seemed unlikely. After Lucifer had moved them to a safe place, he checked Himchanâs state. Slowed heart function and trouble breathing. The fox was lethargic and sensitive to light - everything pointed to the poison, and yet the Archangel couldnât locate it within Himchanâs body. He asked himself whether he wanted to save the kitsune and how risky would it be, but he did not know the answer to either of those questions. With a sigh, the former Lightbringer slowly shook his head. âI thought so too, butI donât see any trace of poison in your blood. I donât know what it could be.â
(continued from x)
âWhat?!â A shrill whine plowed past plush lips, followed by rapid, shallow breaths. âYou are telling me that even y-you..â He had to pause to regain himself, every little, simple function, such as breathing, becoming increasingly more difficult with each second. âYou donât even know what is wrong with me?â Anger wanted to well up in him, but it was far too much exertion for his fragile body. His mind was beginning to blank -- no fury where there would usually be. Clutching a hand to his chest, the fox mustered all of his strength to pull himself into a seated position. âC-come on, Luci, I know a small problem like this is childâs play for you.â  Desperation crept into his voice, a thin sheen of perspiration on his face.
