Absolute comedy, featuring emotionally repressed Kaito and surprisingly straight-forward Shinichi in what I like to call 'Misunderstanding Mayhem' (MM for short) as they individually navigate what it means to be loved for their scents and who they are. (*cough* Kaito *cough*)

No one could have written it as the absolute crack that it is other than my partner Bear, so do check out their other fics too!! (This Is A Demand) I'm sure they don't ever miss. (σ°∀°)σ..:*☆

Hello! it's the KaiShin BigBang again! after a long break, im back in the bang business with my 4th year and 5th project for this event. there are many things in store below the waters of Tokyo...

my project with @cthulu-sun is a film noir-style case fic taking place on the upper floors of Tokyo skyscrapers- all that is left habitable after the rising tides of global warming hit our near future setting.

from the second this prompt started, Cthulu knew what they were doing. i barely had to say anything before they clocked the vibes immediately. im so impressed with their work, ideas and stamina to continuously churn out beautiful words for this story. they wrote an insane mystery that has kept me guessing throughout the whole creation process. i hope that many, many kaishin and DCMK fans alike will find it just as amazing as i do

for my part, i got to flex my skills with water to the extreme! the compositions and backgrounds for the project were an absolute dream to work on. im super lucky i had enough juice to make THREE pieces this year with a lot of effort put into each. (also i am helped by glorious new brushes from @/tamberella since art fight this year gave me enough spoons to download some for the first time) i hope the results are impressive!

It's said that you'll become able to feel your soulmate’s emotions after you meet them - and lose that ability once you both become willing to open your hearts to each other, wholly and completely. Shinichi doesn't believe in soulmates. Kaito lies about the exact same thing. They find each other anyway.

Summary: Celebrities don’t interest Kudo Shinichi. He comes from a family of celebrities; in fact, he is a minor celebrity himself. But the one living next door seems to get into one too many shenanigans for his peace of mind. Which really wouldn’t be an issue, if the latest one didn’t happen to involve a dead body.

Or, in which Kaito goes from being darling of the entertainment media to scourge of the internet in no time at all, hounded by paparazzi, only to find solace in the utter indifference of his neighbour… until he gets involved in a murder.

Kaito tried to protest—

“Hold on, you’ve got this wrong! I didn’t even know he was dead until you told me just now! Hey, hey—stop, it’s not me!”

—but they didn’t deter them at all. Kaito breathed in desperately, panic creeping into his voice as he looked around for help. Murder? Arrested? He didn’t need to know what the percentage of acquittals were in their country to guess the outcome! And for the police to make an arrest, for there to be evidence backing this up—

“Matsuoka-keibu? What’s going on?”

Kaito’s head snapped up at that voice. Turning the curb from where the patrol car was parked, like a beacon of light piercing through stormy clouds, was none other than Kudo Shinichi.
