Genuinely felt terrified in chapter two and three of the Nomad route, the music was ominous as fuck.
Torrhen still doesn’t trust Raiden as far as they can bodily pick him up and throw him, they feel sympathy for him occasionally because he’s such a walking human disaster, but ultimately, they’re not emotionally attached to the little snake.
Maja and Erik, on the other hand?
They’re incredibly attached to them. It shouldn’t have happened because the three of them come from different worlds -- different backgrounds, and some things just can’t be transversed despite how much somebody wants it.
And yet, it’s so easy, effortless almost, with the mage and knight. They can’t help pressing kisses to the deceptively delicate knuckles of the Archmage’s hand every opportunity and stolen moment, can’t help reaching out and taking Erik’s hand, willing to be his confidant and shoulder to lean on.
Emotions are dangerous, especially for a spy. They know that intimately.
Still, despite knowing the outcome, they keep doing the same thing expecting for different results.
