I’ll write separate accounts for what my Ambassador, Nomad, and Knight are feeling later on as I’m a little tipsy. However I wanted to give a general outline.
Just finished chapter four and... wow. Just wow.
#Mindblown
This is definitely bigger than I ever thought. I mean, it was foreshadowed that gods existed in Novus but I didn’t really think that hey, they’re actively going to be playing a role in this story and the events that are transpiring.
I still don’t fully understand I believe, and definitely need to replay again.
The gist of it though, is that Novoth(?) is more than likely conspiring with the King and Queen and potentially these cultists (or are the cultists on the gods’ side???) to bring about a new race of humanity: ascendants.
The God of Laws, God of Death, and Goddess of Justice don’t want that and branded the characters with their aegis, a mark of protection from Novoth(?).
Now, you can refuse them but as they’re ya know, frickin’ gods, I wasn’t gonna do that. This is more than likely a set up for the ending, when the inevitable clash of gods happen and the characters are caught in the crossfire. Don’t quote me on that, I’m just speculating.
There’s not any smut in this chappie so far, though there are kisses. I mean I only chose Lucien for Nottie (later, Raiden will be added ofc), Erik for Torrhen (can’t wait for Maja’s reaction, probs gonna be good), and Roux for Khus (Livia could also be v good for my boy).
I’m thinking of writing a little something for Errant Kingdom on this or my main blog. Maybe both. Was on the bus daydreaming about it.
Truthfully, I’m getting the vibe the Knight, Ambassador and Nomad should know each other. Or at least, my characters should.
I’m thinking they’re half siblings...
Oh boy, chapter 2 was TENSE. I've played through the nomad route and I love everything about the story so far, but it feels a little bit like the MC is being strung along and taken for granted like crazy. Don't get me wrong, the characters are all very charming, but at the moment I'm pretty sure I'd sell them all out for one cornchip. (Except Erik, he's an angel.) And what can the MC do that would really hold a candle to master assassins and powerful mages? Will we get to see their teeth too?
Of course! All three of the MC’s play a very important role in our story. We’re only on our third update right now and are trying to establish our characters and setting, but we promise the meat of the story is fast approaching, as you could probably tell by our little cliffhangers...
I just finished and I’m all caught up on the Knight’s route. The way all the routes blend so seamlessly together is unmistakable and also very well done. If you’ve got an out of control, slightly pervy imagination like mine, and were exploring all the romance options, poly or otherwise, with relish, like I was, then power to ya.

xD
Honestly, Khushum gave me the feeling that he truly wants to help the people of Novus, even though it’s not his birth country. He has no designs to usurp the monarchy or anything silly and crazy like that, but there’s the sense that there’s an undercurrent of serious unhappiness with the people, citizens and nobility alike that gives him pause.
Now this cult business? That unnerves him even more...
Anyway! As far as the romantic side of things go, I’d say that he has a high chance of ending up with Roux or Livia. ‘S most likely gonna be Roux though, honestly, because he has a better rapport with them though the Knight Commander intrigues him.
Nottie has reached the point where she can admit, if only to herself, that she’s attracted to Lucien and Raiden. Again, this scares her to death because putting her trust in another person rarely works out.
Control is important to her, and feelings are not rational at all.
So when she flirted with both Rai and Luc in the library part of her was screaming into the void while the other half just surrendered to the inevitable.
Genuinely felt terrified in chapter two and three of the Nomad route, the music was ominous as fuck.
Torrhen still doesn’t trust Raiden as far as they can bodily pick him up and throw him, they feel sympathy for him occasionally because he’s such a walking human disaster, but ultimately, they’re not emotionally attached to the little snake.
Maja and Erik, on the other hand?
They’re incredibly attached to them. It shouldn’t have happened because the three of them come from different worlds -- different backgrounds, and some things just can’t be transversed despite how much somebody wants it.
And yet, it’s so easy, effortless almost, with the mage and knight. They can’t help pressing kisses to the deceptively delicate knuckles of the Archmage’s hand every opportunity and stolen moment, can’t help reaching out and taking Erik’s hand, willing to be his confidant and shoulder to lean on.
Emotions are dangerous, especially for a spy. They know that intimately.
Still, despite knowing the outcome, they keep doing the same thing expecting for different results.

You can find the key in the settings menu in-game!
I just recently got into EK, so far I am thrilled! But I'd love to ask, how does the flirting system work, please? Can we flirt with everyone at the same time and we will choose final love interest later or should we flirt only with one person at the time and make separate save file for other? I hope this was not already answered that is.. If so, I'm sorry!
You will get to select which romance you want to pursue in chapter four but up until this point you can flirt to your hearts content! We don’t punish you for flirting with everyone if you fancy as we think it gives you a chance to truly see who you really like 💕
In chapter three of the Ambassador route, there’s finally a choice to flirt with Lucien and Raiden. 😍😍😍 My ridiculous self ofc chose the poly option! It’s certainly worth all the flirting with Raiden and Lucien individually.
Naturally there are choices where you can choose one over the other but I find that silly, to break them up since they were already lovers before we rolled into the kingdom...
Can’t wait til October~
I think I’m starting to understand how the system works. Like, for the Nomad, its easier from jump in order to flirt with the characters, because I don’t think anyone thinks very highly of them, or takes them seriously.
However, the Ambassador is obviously influential and powerful; the Knight is also. So those two are kind of held at a higher standard, kind of put on a pedestal and so flirting doesn’t come easier unless it’s with the ‘right’ people, like the Knight can flirt with Lucien easier than with Erik or the Ambassador can flirt with Maja, etc.
Societal expectations, perhaps? I don’t know and I’m probably bungling the explanation...
>.<
I’ve been distracted by so many otome games and attempting to write, that I haven’t buckled down and actually finished chapter two like I planned.
With the update, all the progress and how far I came, was made moot and I had to start over again. 😓😭 It’s a pain trying to skip through things but I will do that, hopefully tonight when I get home.
There’s some newness to the update in EK. Like, unfortunately you can’t(?) flirt with Roux anymore. On the Nomad route, right off the bat, we can flirt with Raiden.
cEDRIC KNOWS THAT RAIDEN AND THE AMBASSADOR ARE TOTALLY IN DENIAL FOR EACH OTHER
Maybe it's just me but the UST is so thick between Raiden and the Ambassador and so it’s always a little shocking when one or the other snipes at each other to avoid the underlying problem: they’re attracted to each other.
Although Nottie normally doesn’t understand attraction or deal with such messiness like love and romance, somehow she’s found Lucien and Raiden... appealing. And that scares her...
Raiden is obvs a little masochistic.
Torrhen isn’t really interested in him, but that reaction tho...
