ok im already giving up on Aktchually rewriting the whole scene so instead uh, alola verse divergences regarding encountering lilie’s magearna for the first time  :

it takes a second, but satoshi does recognize magearna before lilie can say its name,

this obviously prompts the others to ask how he knows about it, & he explains that he met a magearna when he was still traveling kalos, albeit that one was painted, & muses out loud that he’d thought eliphas only made the one,

knowing the inventor’s name just raised more questions, & satoshi explains in short, or as short as he can, about azoth,

he asks lilie how long the specific magearna has been here & concludes that either eliphas did in fact make two magearna, unlikely, or this one is a prototype, which would explain the lack of signs of coloring,

he offers to get in touch with citron & kimia for potential help, if lilie doesn’t mind the outside help, but she rejects for the moment, though satoshi adds that the offer always remains.
