@ksjaebin
hoetaek’s not late to drawing class today. in fact, by some miracle, they’re actually a whole five minutes early, and they take their usual seat actually feeling pretty good about themself. of course, hoetaek should’ve know that wasn’t a good sign. class starts pretty normally, they get their task for the day, and hoetaek opens their sketchbook to a fresh page, reaches into their pocket for their pencil and... their pencil’s not there. “shit.” they search through all of their pockets, emptying the contents out onto the desk. five different coloured lighters, a packet of cigarettes, and some gum, but not a pencil to be found, and hoetaek drops forward to press their forehead into the page. “godfuckingdammit kwon hoetaek,” they mutter to themself. they really should start carrying around a pencil case.
they huff out a sigh, turning their head—cheek pressed to the page now—to look over at jaebin sitting next to them. this’ll be the third time now hoetaek’s asked jaebin to borrow a pencil, and while jaebin always seems happy to help, hoetaek feels kind of bad about consistently bothering him. but still, they don’t really have any other option right now. “hey, jaebin,” they reach over to tap the guy on the shoulder, just once, to make sure they have his attention. “I uh... kind of forgot my pencil again cause I’m an idiot. could I maybe borrow one of yours... again...?”
