Kai being out this late at night probably wasn’t surprising to anyone at this point. Walking out side in the streets of Seoul at 3 a.m. honestly wasn’t something that you worried about because basically the city was always lively even at this time of night. Only, he hung around the darkest parts of Seoul that weren’t so populated with festivities. There were always little nooks and crannies people were usually to afraid to go especially if you could hardly see what type of territory you are stepping in. Murky puddles squelching under his combat boots; the moon barely glistening off of them hardly anyone hung in the dwellings of these types of alley ways. Today, it was for buisness. Currently, he hadn’t settled on a provider. He’d been testing people out and seeing who sold the best quality. Kai had a rep and he wasn’t going to allow anything stepped on to be sold by his hands.
After the man came and gone, he did his usual check up to make sure everything was good and he got his money’s worth. It was during that time, he noticed a shadow which was almost missed to the fact that it was already dark as hell and the only thing that even gave the slimmest of light was the moon overhead but the shadows of the building he was placed between still cast a looming darkness populated over him but he hadn’t missed that. He was way too alert around business deal to have missed it. Honestly, his first instinct that it was the guy trying to pull a fast one until he heard glass break from around the corner. Whoever it was, they definitely weren’t after him.
Kai stuffed the baggy into his coat pocket and followed the direction in which the shadow had had run off to. His feet crept slowly, almost as if he were walking on air. Each footstep was as light as a feather before he stopped to peer around the corner. This part of Seoul barely had any lights; probably two street lamps per mile but it was enough for him to see the famine figure breaking into a house. They were wearing a balaclava so he couldn’t make out their face. In honestly, Kai didn’t really care to stop the intruder but at the same time he found it quite amusing not to say anything at all. He cleared his throat purposely loud enough that it would interrupt their escapades, “You know, if you’re going to do that, at least make sure no one’s around first.”
