honestly, i enjoy any version. even in the later seasons sam sleeps positioned liked a baby (kind of fetal position + hugging his pillows/blankets very tight), which can translate into him and dean sleeping like () which i find adorable. but their sleeping habits mirroring the shift in dynamics in their relationship is also very real to me... sam taking up his place as husband and provider in this 💕💕 so he hugs dean tightly from behind to keep him safe (or at least give the illusion of safety, which is as good as they can get with the lives they lead)

obviously, dean deserves to be a little koala too, but he tends to be more rigid when he sleeps after his time in hell (let's not think too deeply about that for now🖤), though if he manages to let loose with sam that's beautiful too so he should imo

all in all, i love any option as long as they're sharing a bed and sleeping cozily with one another

I am trying to get into the habit of writing every day, but it doesn't always pan out like I've hoped. I am doing a lot better than last year, so there is that. Here's hoping it improves! I did write this today for my long fic I am working on:

Dean manages to carry Sam across the foyer and into the living room, his weight sagging onto Dean, but not all of it, strength still left in his legs to help Dean until they make it to the couch. Sam drops onto the plush cushions, sprawling out and groaning as his breath evens out and slows. His brother is covered in blood, a trail of it left behind, stark red against the gleaming hardwood. His nice suit is cut to ribbons, like something raked its claws down his chest and his shoulders, deep red gashes staining the ruined fabric. Dean runs his fingers down the center of Sam’s torso, seeking out buttons or an edge to start pulling, peeling off the remains to get at Sam’s skin. “Eager?” Sam gasps out, forcing a grin. Sam’s mouth is slicked with bright crimson against his skin, smudged around his lips, smeared on his cheeks and dripping down his chin—a messy eater. True to his word, it’s not his own blood, at least not there.   Dean rolls his eyes and pulls at his dress shirt, tearing it open, pushing away the ragged edges. “Funny, I don’t think you’re in any shape for that.” Sam chuckles—or tries to, his laughter dissolving into a harsh, hacking cough that sounds too wet to be anything good. “Give me a few minutes and I’m all yours.” 

10. Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

My expectations of the response my fics might get vs. what they do get are always at odds, honestly. Sometimes I think a fic will get more attention and it gets less, or like a fic I didn't put as much effort into is more beloved by people than others, so it is hard to pinpoint which fic would answer this question. Lately, I've been lucky to get a few comments on any fics so I've learn to adjust my expectations accordingly.

13. How much planning do you do before writing?

I tend to know the beats of a story and the general trajectory, but I often cannot outline because I need to be able to "discover" the story along the way? I'm very much this quote by George R. R. Martin:

I often said that writers are of two types. There is the architect, which is one type. The architect, as if designing a building, lays out the entire novel at a time. He knows how many rooms there will be or what a roof will be made of or how high it will be, or where the plumbing will run and where the electrical outlets will be in its room. All that before he drives the first nail. Everything is there in the blueprint. And then there's the gardener who digs the hole in the ground, puts in the seed and waters it with his blood and sees what comes up. The gardener knows certain things. He's not completely ignorant. He knows whether he planted an oak tree, or corn, or a cauliflower. He has some idea of the shape but a lot of it depends on the wind and the weather and how much blood he gives it and so forth. No one is purely an architect or a gardener in terms of a writer, but many writers tend to one side or the other. I'm very much more a gardener.

the whole entirety on Music ... eh. i do like listening to music, but i'm not very fervent nor super curious about it as an art/medium/whatever. i have my rotary of three to five artists that i regularly listen to and while i know there's plenty more i'd probably like as well i just never get in the mood to Explore (though i don't have the explorer's temperament in general). there's times where i do listen a lot, but try as i might, i actually prefer silence for most of the time

As I previously said in another post, this is the BKDK HOLY BIBLE. It's canon compliant as their relationship starts during the early stages of the manga (post kacchan vs deku 2, I guess). You see their relationship develop from enemies to rivals to friends to lovers and it's amazing. Their characterization is so well done that you feel like you're reading Horikoshi's writing. In fact, it even predicted a lot of scenes that happened during the manga. Imagine being such a talented author to understand two characters so well that you'll even write scenes that will happen at some point in the source material. It's simply incredible!! It's a must-read for every bkdk fan. The best Slow-Burn ever.

Read this one a while ago, but I remember them sparring a lot and their relationship evolved flawlessly. If you like bkdk sparring and expressing their feelings into actions this one's for you. (bkdk's love language is sparring, prove me wrong.)

3. Do not disturb by surveycorpsjean (MANGA SPOILERS!! Read after watching S6) / 10k

Set post chapter 322 (Bakugo's apology & Deku's retrieval). A fic that explores bkdk's relationship after Deku returns to U.A. Lotta hurt/comfort. Katsuki takes care of a very sensible and depressed and hurt Deku and it's so. soooo. well done. Feelings realization. Very cute!! This fic was what I desperately needed after reading Bakugo's apology.

This. Fic. I think it's my top 2, below The Way You Used to Do. It's PERFECT. The best canon-compliant fic that's up to date with the manga. (Post the second war!) You'll see bkdk's relationship evolve in different domestic scenes, involving the class 1-A at some points. It's slow burn-ish since it's only 33k words. But the way the author wrote their relationship evolving felt so canon... One thing that I LOVE in bkdk is to see fics that explore their relationship, that evolve them from rivals to friends and then, to lovers. My cup of tea. It was an amazing read and the comfort I felt once I finished it... Not as in hurt/comfort but, it filled a desire I had to read well-written bkdk.
