クベーラ（Kuberaa）見たよ〜

絵は字を書いてみせるデーヴァと、それを観察するディーパク

いやぁ変な映画だった。

ディーパク演じるナグさん（ナーガルジュナ・アッキネーニ）は相変わらずセクシーでスタイルが良いなぁ。アクションの良いところを掻っ攫っていました。

デーヴァ役もダヌシュは無垢で誠実な人柄の人物を、弱々しい一介の人間から、ヒーローに移り変わるまでに演じていてさすがであった。

サミーラ役のラシュミカー・マンダンナはコミカルな振り回される女性脇役から、これまたデーヴァと行動を共にするうちに自分の目線とは異なる社会構造に気づく人を実体感を持って演じていて良かった。

変な映画だった、ていうのは伏線と要素の流れが悪いところがあって、そこで台無しになりそうなところで詰め込んだ要素がパワーとなっているって感じかなぁ。

例えば実はディーパクは〇〇でした、みたいなところとか、そういう感じでやるものではないでしょ！（もっとエモくできたのに）というところがたくさんあるんだけど、カーストや貧富による差別、政治と財閥の癒着といった社会問題から、観客を喜ばせ楽しませるスリラー、アクション、爆発、ヒューマンドラマ、コメディをお出しし、最後にはこの世を生きる哲学（神の仕業）に繋げて、お出ししていくのってなかなか一筋縄ではできないことだよ、と感心してしまうのでした。

シェーカル・カンムラ監督は割とシンプルなお話の構造で、すれ違いとか恋情とか苛立ちとかの感情を丁寧に描くタイプなのかなぁとFidaaを見て想像してたけど、こんなパワーもあるんだなぁ。

音楽もとても2010年代のテルグ映画っぽくて面白い！と思ったけどデヴィシュリプラサードだったwそりゃそうだ（彼自身はタミル人ですが）。

流れが悪いところ→

一番思ったのは携帯の電源を不用意に入れて居場所を知らせちゃうところ。映画の中で簡単にそれで察知されているのに、ディーパクは普通に電源入れちゃうんだもんなぁ。

ディーパクがクシュブのことを実は匿っていたと明かされるのもあっさりしすぎ。

ディーパクが昔デーヴァの慕っていた兄貴分だった、というのもそういうの大好きだからもっとやってほしいんだけど？！

流れが良いところ→

冒頭の石油基地を乗っ取ろうとするニーラジの陰謀はすごかった。つかみはOKという感じ。

最後のサミーラが「あなたの手は神の手よ」というところ。えっ？それで終わり？とも思ったがそれが哲学的でなんかいい。まぁGhajiniを思い出すけど、あれの方がもっと余韻はあったけども。

ホームレスや障がいのある人、SC、STを描いたインド映画は数多くあって、私なんかはpithamaganを思い出したりするんだけど、クベーラはそれと比べるとちょっとリアリスティックさにもファンタジックさにも欠けるところはあるかなぁ。

Why is everyone lying about Kuberaa bro 😭, I swear everyone’s only simping bec its Dhanush.

The plot was lowkey a cliche and doesn’t really make any revolutionary statements. It’s “let’s eat the rich” sure, but the ending doesn’t make any major statements that hint at changing the system that oppressed him in the first place. And they didn’t even do the thing Deepak wanted them to do??

Also Deepak’s reveal and death isn’t even emotional bec while they set it up the whole movie, that whole section lowkey felt so rushed (even though it’s a 3 hr movie!?!).

Idk like the movie is so cliche and mid I feel like I’ve watched this same movie before 😭
