So a little writing funni- the main characters for my Pokemon-esque project just stole a boat from the local Team Rocket. Kuff has declared himself captain as a joke. He looks like this and is a foot tall-
So as I draft up the ending, Jackie- the MC- has a chance to move into the captain's quarters. Instead, he digs in the fukkin' grunt rooms below the deck. Which means guess who's sleeping in the captain's quarters?

Excuse me! I’m terribly sorry. I’m just so hungry, you see. I am wasting away... I’m absolutely STARVING...
...for some awkward vintage Rare renders! Waiter, your finest, please!
Bellissimo!
Name: Kuff ‘n’ Klout
Debut: Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble!
Every awkward Rare render is a treasure. But only one can be the best. And I think that honor has to go to Kuff ‘n’ Klout, the Tyrant Twins! They may have skipped Ankle Day, but they make up for it with their strangely bulbous bodies, the winning smile atop each chiseled chin, and, most importantly, their unbreakable brotherly bond.
And off they go! That’s Kuff with the purple eyes, and Klout with the green. Except in-game, where they both have green, because Kuff could only afford the colored contacts for the duration of the photoshoot.
Would you believe that encountering these guys is entirely optional?! They’re only found in the hidden island of Krematoa, so one can easily complete the game without even knowing they exist. What a sad existence. But let’s look at it more optimistically! Kuff ‘n’ Klout are so great, they’re surprise bonus content, just when you think you’ve seen it all!
The Twins can only be defeated with projectiles, as direct attacks will only hurt the Kong perpetrating them. Which I’ve never quite understood in the DKC games! If you want an enemy to deal damage even when jumped upon, that’s what spikes are for! But you know what? I’ll make an exception here. It only enhances them.
Sadly, though... we know nothing about the brothers! They’re great friends, they play leap frog, they’re probably the most powerful entities in the Mario expanded universe, but who are they? We’ll never know! Not even Super Mario-Kun acknowledged them. And that had Bluster Kong!
