Open Starter - Lost Memory

Ray let out a small groan as he struggled to open his eyes. When he finally managed to do so, and was able to clearly take in the sights around him, panic set in as it had occurred to him.

Where was he?

He sat upright, sharply exhaling when a pain tore through his body. He looked over himself first, finding his body and head covered in gauze and other treatments. He looked around. He appeared to be in some sort of hospital, but it looked far too advanced for any he could think of.

And...who were these people standing over him, who he could not recognize?
