ok but pls details on that book series about the orphan girl who turned out to be heir to the county
Kulla-Gulla! Written by Martha Sandwall-Bergström in the 1940s. There's a dozen books taking place in the early 1900s, following little orphan Kulla-Gulla who is brought to a harsh but ultimately nice farming family (very Anne of Green Gables) where she has to work hard and fight for justice and fairness. In the later books it turns out that she's the grandchild of the powerful rich man of the county and she has to balance her fancy new life with helping her poor adoptive family. And of course she falls in love and gets married before the series ends.
My mother read the books as a child, and then I loved them too. I mean look at that amazing art work, those dresses were the most beautiful fashions I had ever seen!
