Iketeru Daga x Mitsuo Kumatani - Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is the most realistic m/m ship in any fandom.
Without explicitately stating it, Iketeru and Kumatani (IN MY OPINION) present as two queer men, for starters. Given that the series is pretty progressive in a lot of areas, having two gay lead characters holds a lot more merit than your usual "oh that's just how animes portray male friendships" gimmick.
Whilst Iketeru is our borzoi owning, onigiri loving, handsome idiot; Kumatani is your classic stoic faced, all serious protector. These character designs always go so well together, and it translates well in this series with how Kumatani is always watching over his silly co-star.
I think that it's pretty obvious that Kumatani has genuine feelings towards Iketeru, but the poor penis giggling singer is most likely oblivious to any of this. Including the way that Kuma really only smiles when interacting with him.
Saying that though, Iketeru literally sleeps in bed with his Kumao plushie, whilst Usao sits on the nightstand. Just let that sink in.
