These excavations of Kumhrar may not be a great holiday destination but those who are interested in ancient India and the study of Buddhism, these sites offer lot of history. Kumhrar is a place where many excavations have been found. One is a pillar which is thought to the of a hall where the Third Buddhist Council was held under the patronage of Emperor Ashoka the Great.
