The rush of wind, slick and cold, whistling through your ears.
The exhilaration of gaining slight air.
The sound of a joyous yell stuck in your throat.
And then the feeling of damp iciness encompassing your face and torso, filling your mouth and tickling your nose.
All in all, a great sled ride.
To say the least, Kun was worried, however.
You could hear him calling out to you from outside the snow drift, over the wind.
“Y/N? Y/N! Oh my gosh, are you ok?!”
Maybe his starting push had been a little too hard.
You grappled slightly with your hands, trying to manoeuvre them from their divots in the snow, as your heard some panting draw nearer, and you hummed, kicking your legs gently.
Soon you felt the patting of your dog, trying to dig away some of the snow for you two your left. She was only little but was going to try her best either way.
Quickly though, you were rescued from your sudden capture by a strong pair of arms hoisting you out from the wet cold, and wiping at your reddened cheeks and nose.
“Oh my gosh Y/N are you ok, I’m so sorry!” he grimaced, brushing your flattened hair out of your face and readjusting your hat, pressing kisses to your forehead as he went.
He was set aback when you burst into a fit of laughter, reeling in his arms.
Your dog barked, wagging her tail and pawing at your folded legs on the ground where the two of you sat.
“Again!” you exclaimed, the air barely filling your lungs. “I want to go again, Kun, please!”
He stared at you in disbelief, taking a glimpse at the hole left in the snow drift and back at you, still dishevelled and dusted with clumps of the white crystals.
He began to knock them off for you. “Are you sure?”
You nodded vividly.
“Love, you were lucky to hit the snow—you almost went over the fence!”
“Did I?” His revelation only made you laugh harder. “Look, look, just push me a little less this time, ok? I’ll be fine! And if not, Tessa will rescue me, won’t you girl?”
The basset hound barked with a distinct certainty that only that very ball of terror could contain.
Kun could barely believe what he was hearing, but complied nonetheless, levying himself to stand, though you caught him before he did.
“And I know my knight in shining armour will too,” you murmured into his lips, bestowing one very delicate kiss onto their etched surface, before nudging your nose against his, then pulling yourself to your feet.
He wanted to know how you recovered from the sled ride without feeling dizzy, but could make him feel disorientated with just one touch.
“Come on!” you cried, flicking your head over your shoulder, overturned sled in tow. “Are you coming or not?”
He let a smile form on his face.
Of course he was coming along. There was no place that you could end up that he wouldn’t go with you to.
