“Nyaight of the Living Cat” The Second Teaser Promo for Summer 2025

A second teaser promo for the television anime adaptation of Hawkman and Mecha-roots's Nyaight of the Living Cat (Night of the Living Cat) manga was unveiled on the official website. The anime will debut on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo, and other stations in July 2025.

About:

Kunagi is the professor at Black Eel academy every stripe knows to fear. Not entirely human and not entirely sane, his job is to prepare the stripe students for protecting their star-masters or kill them trying. He is loved and respected despite his madness and cares deeply for Gudomlay, though he's sworn to never love another after being destroyed by the woman he gave himself to.

Kunagi died centuries ago but escaped the land of the dead. He is being hidden by the ocean-spirit, Odessa and has taken the spirit-form of an eel. This power is hidden under an odd exterior, but sometimes breaks through, so he becomes a cool and controlled master of vengeance. Gudomlay is the only one who can put this power to sleep by singing him a lullaby he taught her.

He made sure Gudomlay knew her purpose, never lying to her about her role or his hope that she will fulfill it. He is an unwavering supporter of Valdr, but he is often torn between wanting to save him and keeping Gudomlay alive.
