Kunan's claim misleads the public, says PAS man

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3, 2014:

PAS central committee member Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi said Umno’s secretary-general should apologise if the latter had no proof the Islamist party was deviant

Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor had allegedly in a closing speech of the party’s Religious Bureau’s National Multaqa last night said that PAS was spreading deviant teachings and threatened the Muslim faith.

PAS information chief Datuk Mahfuz Omar had already said he would look into possible legal action, a stand that Nasrudin agrees with.

“This claim heavily misleads the public, as deviance is a teaching that can ruin the faith and drag the community to God’s hell,” said Nasrudin in a blog post.

He then challenged the Federal Territories Minister to a debate on the matter which he stressed was permitted by Islamic law.

Nasrudin said his officers would submit a formal letter to Tengku Adnan inviting him to debate on the subject of “Siapa Sesat?” (Who is deviant?).
