I really want the Zorro project to go forward at the CW next season. Like, there’s such a potential for really good rep there and much as I do enjoy Charmed, the CW kind of dropped the ball on the Latina rep they promised there.
But if they pulled a Queen of Swords and introduced a Roma character (preferably a woman, though not necessarily, actually played by a Roma actor) and introduced Indigenous Californian characters (again, played by Indigenous actors- meaningfully eyes Forrest Goodluck who was in last season’s “Republic of Sarah”, or Nathaniel Arcand who was on last season’s “Kung Fu” or Thunderbird Dinwiddie from “Supernatural”)... there is so much potential.
And like, I wanted Supergirl to introduce the Whip (Shelly Gaynor, specifically) since back before its third season, and Batwoman name-dropped her this season, so like... give us a Latina superhero at the forefront of her own show finally (I love Spooner, I love Allegra, but this has been a long time coming). Like, Alexxis Lemire (The Half of It) or Coral Peña (24: Legacy and For All Mankind) or Nandy Martin (who was supposed to be in Maverick and worked alongside Lisseth in The Fosters) or Ash Santos (AHS) or Humberly González (Ginny & Georgia, In the Dark) or Andrea Sixtos (Arrow)... any of them as the lead (or a newcomer, or Lindsey Morgan, or Alexa PenaVega, idc), any of them as good friends with the lead...
Heck, if they developed a continuity with Kung Fu... I want, I want, I want.
