I feel this needs to be said separately, especially given all the mess about tagging and those pearl-clutchers having made everyone and their mothers nervous about what they can and can not post:
You are a fanfic author - not a personal assistant that has to hold their reader’s hand.
As long as you tag properly, everything else (filtering, skipping, noping out when something isn’t their cup of tea) is not your responsibility anymore. Some want just smut, some want fluff, some want a mixture - the tagging system is there to make them find it. It’s really all you can do.
If a reader insists you baby-proof their fanfic experience for them they obviously shouldn’t be unsupervised on the internet in the first place.
