“Maybe you’re right,” Azalea muttered. He stared from the safety of the awning, slightly relieved to not have been caught in the rain. Water droplets bounced off the ground and miraculously hit Azalea’s hand. Within seconds, his pupils grew and he had become excited.

Yes, it’s raining. The hair on the back of his neck stood on edge, and his mind began whirling around like a whirlpool. He only took a moment to chill when his father’s harsh voice reminded Azalea to remember his place. “B-but this awning is so beautiful. It would be a shame to leave it alone in such a rush.”

Garfield’s fluttering eyes focused on the male as his eyebrows knitted together. Something tugged at his heart strings as his eyes frowned. He forced a bitter smile, hoping to shed some happiness onto the situation. “Hey dude, no, you don’t gotta cry.”

He leaned forward and kissed away one of the male’s tears before his forced smile softened. “There’s gotta be something chipper in your life and- I’m still a human, aren’t I?” Garfield held up his hands and threw his head back as he loudly sighed. “Maaaaaaaan. I thought I was a dog. Now this is awkward!”
