Yes, the street cleaners did it with a resounding victory. A sixteen team tournament saw Docklands Kurar Bazar beat Akakhazana 2-0 during an end to end final at Kurar Bazar School Fields. This was a blood and thunder local derby played with great decorum and friendship. Both teams are neighbours and the relationship between each set of players and the coaches goes back generations. Naturally we share commiserations with our Akakhazana family, who did superbly to navigate a sixteen team tournament. I’m very proud of the boys and how well they stuck to the game plan today. Thank you Mahmud, Suton and Japan Sports Beanibazar for the trophies. Thank you matchday sponsors and patrons Abdul Mumit, Mahbub Ahmed, Jahangir Ahmed as guests of honour at the game and for handing out the trophies to all participants. Both teams were impeccable with their conduct and the respect displayed throughout stems from generations of ties and friendship between the two neighbours. More than a big game tomorrow as our boys face off in the local derby with Kurar Bazar and Akhakhazana battling it out to be crowned champions. My team Docklands Football Club are supporting my boys in Beanibazar and I’ve got the trackie top and a spare shirt in case I need to go full John Terry. Fantastic support from Japan Sports, College Road, Beanibazar, through Suton and Mahmud providing winners, losers, and man of the match trophies. This is a family affair so after they knock seven bells out of each other on the pitch don’t be surprised if you see all the boys out for a meal after Maghrib 😅 Everyone welcome - Kick off at 3pm tomorrow in Akhakhazana.
