Hello everyone, I have a close friend from Canada who is family to me and I very much want to do this for her. She is very passionate, brave, has a great heart and is a fighter who never gives up. There is a dream she has and it’s to be able to go overseas for the first time, travel to Japan and take in the sights, food and culture.

Unfortunately she has a health condition that doesn’t allow her to take a plane. This leaves her only two methods of travel; land and sea. She is visually impaired, and the altitude and air pressure from flying could lead to blindness.

Because of the limited travel options she has, it will be time consuming and costly to get from Canada to Japan and back. She is currently unemployed due to the health issues.

I hope that with the kindness of your hearts, you are able to help her with any monetary amount you could spare. It will bring her closer to making that dream come true. Thank you so much for reading her story.

I’m sitting here in my bed writing away , a gentle breeze blowing in through my window and the light rhythmic patter of the rain relaxes me. These are my most favourite times where I enjoy being alone to think and reflect . Sometimes not even to think at all , leave my mind blank and let it wander . Let everything pause for even just a moment , it’s so quiet I could hear myself breathe and my heart beating.

The song that’s playing right now makes me miss my gf. The words that keep repeating “So bring me the night , send out the stars cause when I’m dreaming , we don’t seem so far. Darken the sky and light up the moon so that somehow you’ll be here with me soon”. My gf and I are in a long distance relationship , I’ve learned so much from being in such a relationship and sharing it with her.

Honestly I don’t envy those who have relationships where they are in the same place . There is just something adventurous , romantic about being long distance .

With every meet up , date and upon seeing each other. You get the same feeling as you do when you first fell in love , it’s an absolutely beautiful. It also fulfills my love of travel , I go to her city to see her , she takes me everywhere to show me all these new places that she wants to share with me.

I also do the same when she comes over to my city . It’s always bright , warming and I have to admit like a child who is new to exploration of the world ,my excitement never ends no matter how many times I visit or when she comes over .

With every visit , we really learn to make use of all the time we have together . Not a single moment we have is ever wasted.

Another favourite thing of mine is still being old fashioned and sending each other surprise letters and care packages in the mail , I like having someone who I can be sentimental with .

Overall the best thing about being in a long distance relationship is the strong use of communication. Not being able to see other often, our use of words has to be clear and thorough to prevent misunderstanding .

Communication, this is the thing that many don’t work on everyday and it’s one of the biggest things that destroys any relationship or friendship .

My gf and I try our best to work on it everyday and I feel it growing stronger everyday strengthening the relationship we share together.
