hey so like I just saw your post about TWERFs, and because of the context of the post and because I'm only familiar with TERFs and SWERFs (as acronyms) I gotta ask: is this specifically describing an ideology that accepts NB ppl and trans men but specifically keeps out trans women? (sorry if asking about this subject is not what u wanted in your asks rn)

TERF is a less specific term for TWERFs. I choose to say TWERF because that ideology specifically targets trans feminine people. It may, and often does, hurt trans masculine or nonbinary people in the process, but TWERF’s targets are first and foremost trans women, who they perceive as “invasive” and have gone as far as to try and dehumanize. By actively choosing my language, I choose to acknowledge the disproportionate amount of transmisogyny these women face from TWERFs. (Good time to emphasize that TWERFs are only one type of transmisogyny.)

Also, NB is the abbreviation for non-black. Please type out nonbinary or use an alternate abbreviation in the future.
