Kuroniku at Greenhills Mall Offers Unlimited Kobe Beef and Wagyu Yakiniku
The very successful Teppanya group has launched a new restaurant that continues to satisfy their guests' love for Japanese beef, but this time at a more premium and upscale level. Instead of sizzling hot teppanyaki, they are now offering premium Kobe beef and A5 Wagyu in a yakiniku format at the new Kuroniku.
The Hungry Kat was invited to the newly opened Kuriniku which you can find right beside Teppanya at the sixth floor of Greenhills Mall. Similar to its sister restaurant, they offer an all you can eat concept with unlimited servings of prime Wagyu or Kobe beef cooked right at your table.
Kuroniku comes with cozy interiors where you can enjoy a great yakiniku feast with your family and friends. The space is not as big as Teppanya so this premium restaurant is better for smaller private groups.
Kuroniku gets its beef from the Kobe Takami Beef Farm, a world-renowned and award-winning Japanese cattle farm located in the Hyogo Prefecture. Run by three generations of farmers, it is one of Kobe's biggest cattle farms that has been in business for over 100 years.
It was great having lunch with our The KTG group led by our good friend Spanky Enriquez and Kuroniku PR specialist Donny Elvina. Kuroniku elevates the yakiniku experience with premium and authentic Wagyu beef.
They have a Wagyu Madness menu which offers various types of beef with gorgeous marbling and explosive taste and texture. All of these come with unlimited servings so you can get premium and authentic Japanese beef without breaking the bank.
The menu also comes with unlimited Japanese appetizers and side dishes which you can have together with your yakiniku orders. Start with some Miso Soup to warm up your taste buds.
The Shiroi Sakana Salad is a great appetizer with healthy greens topped with slices of smoked fish.
They also offer Maki Rolls like the Salmon Skin Roll, Fried Philadelphia Cheese Roll, and the California King Roll. These are great to share with the entire table.
A Japanese meal isn't complete without having Tempura so Kuroniku also lets you enjoy these big crispy golden-fried prawns.
One must-order item is the Wagyu Stone Bowl Rice. This ended up as one of our favorites that afternoon and it goes really well with all the beef and meats that we had.
Let the server mix all the ingredients together inside the hot stone pot to create this lovely fried rice dish that is actually an entire meal by itself.
We were hosted by Teppanya and Kuroniku CEO Mark Pineda who explained the process of sourcing the wagyu beef and even the binchotan charcoals that they use straight from Japan. These create the most authentic yakiniku dining experience you can have without leaving the country.
Let's start with their first Wagyu Madness set, the Wagyu Omakase (P2188). This all you can eat set starts with a Wagyu Omakase Plate that comes with 60 grams of Choice Wagyu F1 Cut, 60 grams of Premium Wagyu F1, and 40 grams Choice Wagyu Hokkaido Cut.
When you avail of their Wagyu Madness, you can order as many times as you want for 60 minutes then stay and dine for 90 minutes.
Since Kuroniku is a premium restaurant, the servers will be the one to cook for you. Of course, you can also choose to cook the meats yourself if you prefer to be more hands-on with the beef.
The set also comes with Australian F1 Wagyu Tartare, Wagyu F1 Cut Marinated, and Horumon or edible offal so that all parts of the cow are used.
The second Wagyu Madness set is the Premium Wagyu Omakase (P3888). Start with the Premium A5 Wagyu Omakase Plate which comes with 120 grams of Choice Kobe Takami Wagyu Cut and 60 grams of Premium Hokkaido Wagyu Cut.
Aside from these, you can also order meats including the Hokkaido Wagyu Tartate, Premium Wagyu F1 Cut, and Australian Wagyu Tongue.
Lastly, for those looking for only the best and most premium cuts of beef, go for the Shogun Kobe Wagyu Omakase (P4888). The Shogun A5 Kobe Takami Wagyu Omakase Plate comes with 180 grams of Choice Kobe Takami Cut which you won't find in any other all you can eat restaurant. The Kobe beef really melts in your mouth and you don't have to go all the way to Japan to experience this luxury.
If you are not ready for an all you can eat package, you can order one of their a la carte Wagyu Omakase sets. Enjoy 150g of US Wagyu F1 cuts that you can grill to your preferred doneness starting at only P988. It already comes with sauces and kimchi then you can order additional side dishes like appetizers, rice, soup, salad and maki rolls for a complete meal.
End your meal with some Gelato (P128) and choose from Dark Chocolate, Black Sesame, Matcha, and Wasabi flavors. We would like to thank Mark Pineda and the entire Kuroniku team for letting us eat our hearts out and indulge in their Wagyu Madness sets. Visit them at Greenhills Mall for an authentic yakiniku dining experience.
