-whispers back- he's actually not that tall. A lot of people think he's taller but he's around 5'10''. But, I know that's tall for you, Jojo *3* <3

There was much rumor about the new exchange student. He came from another area of Japan and will be staying with them for a little over two months. Some of the girls claimed to have seen his pictures already and said he'd be every bit as outgoing and cheerful as Kazehaya-kun. When the day actually came for Haruka Nanase to arrive, many people were shocked.
For once thing, he wasn't outgoing or cheerful. He hardly smiled during the entire introduction. Fortunately, he was polite...And muscular under his neatly pressed uniform. So those traits both got him some points.
With all the excitement gone, the students went back to chattering among themselves. Haru decided to take the opportunity to have a good look at everyone. There was one girl in particular who caught his attention. No one was talking to her...Strange. They actually seemed to be wanting to sit further away from her.
"May I borrow a pen?" He asked in what he thought was a quiet voice. Somehow, though, everyone heard him and they turned in shock. Did he do something wrong already? "Kuronuma-san, right? May I borrow a pen?" He repeated, because the long, dark haired girl wasn't responding. Perhaps she thought he was speaking to someone else. Haru may be quiet, but he was observant. It wasn't so difficult to remember everyone's names from the roll call earlier.
