a/n: Oh gosh okay this is going to be interesting. In general, I love the twins! They’re absolute menaces and I love putting them in shenanigans together. Osamu is an absolute darling and one of my favourite characters. Atsumu is a menace to society and his hair pre time skips looks like burnt cheesecake lmao. But I still love the loser (affectionate) especially making fun of him. I have a Haikyuu OC that also does that lmao. She has an au paired with Osamu too.

Okay I picked a few characters and rated them and how they flirt! I hope you enjoy. It’s nice to write some Haikyuu!!

Rintarou Suna (Natural with fun teasing banter):

He’s not the kind of person to flirt with everyone but when he has someone he likes he’s a little shit tease. You can give it back to him though he can take it.

Very much a friends to lovers type of guy so in the crush stages theres a lot of back and forth flirting going on. He gives compliments pretty freely. Sometimes they’re just nice genuine ones. ‘Huh I like that shirt.’ or ‘Looks good.’ but most of the time they have that teasing tone. ‘Aw did you dress up just for me?’ It’s got that half joking, half curious vibe behind it.

A lot of his flirting comes across through how much he talks to you in general. He will not waste his time or bother with people he doesn’t have interest in. He’s the kind of person to get to know someone before relationship so he’ll feel you out.

Sending messages. Likes sending pictures. Not necessary flirty pictures (although will send just selfies sometimes and you flirt back and forth telling each other you look hot) but just general day to day pictures in order to connect. Sends those ‘Damn wish I was there with you.’ messages.

Physical messing around like pretending to annoy you. Messing with your hair. Poking your cheek. Nuzzling his face against your shoulder. He’s a physically affectionate person and likes pushing the boundaries on friendship while crushing.

Seeks out physical touch and takes comfort in it. If he’s comfortable enough to sleep on your shoulder and let you make fun of him then you’re in.

Osamu Miya (Natural but Shy):

The kind of guy who moves at a steady pace with the subtle kind of flirt. The flirts that come out of no where and knock you out. It’ll be a normal conversation then ‘Oh is that new? huh, it’s nice.’ Soft smile and immeditately moves on in conversation. Like? did that just happen?

It’s also that he has his own brand of flirting where you have to know him to know he’s flirting. Ditching his brother to hang out with you? BIG deal. Sharing his food with you? BIG deal. Even making food for you.

It’ll seem like a friends thing with him too but that’s how he operates. He’s a stealthy friends to lovers guy. He’ll come in one day and be like ‘Oh, I made these did ya want to try?’ or ‘Here I made this for ya.’ Then when you’re done it’s. ‘Tell me what ya think. I wanna know ya opinion.’ LIKE BOY. The sweetest.

Learns your favourite drinks and snacks and will keep them on hand and just give them to you like gifts. ‘Gotcha something.’ Acts like it’s nothing too but wears that soft little smile.

Teasing is kind of his flirting too. That’s how he gets along with people by default but it’s teasing banter. If you come hang out with him or visit him a lot it’s all ‘Can’t get enough of me, huh?’ Osamu please.

If you give any of this back by the way he’ll love it because it’s his love language and he’ll give you that oh so sweet Osamu smile with a hint of a blush. He can give it but gets all shy getting it. He just doesn’t expect it? Sometimes he just gets so bold he forgets reciprocation exists and shuts down.

Kuroo

He 100% understands what it’s like to have a demanding, stressful job

So with that comes the experience to recognize the signs when you start to get overwhelmed

It was no secret you hated your job, you had gotten it right out of college even though it didn’t really suit your major

You were in need of a decent paying job and at the time this office job was perfect.

Until it slowly started to consume your lunch breaks, then your evenings, and finally your weekends until it felt like you were working 24/7

As much as you wanted to complain you couldn’t risk losing the job, your family was depending on you to pay bills and help get your younger siblings fed and through school

Kuroo hates your job just as much as you, he hates watching your lazy superiors take advantage of your naturally giving personality

He’s tried multiple times to coax you into switching but you would always close yourself off, convinced this was the only option

“Y/n, this ain’t fair. You haven’t gotten a raise, you barely get paid for your overtime, and I can’t remember the last time they actually let you take a vacation,” Kuroo said, having finally cornered you in the kitchen.

“I don’t want to talk about this! I’ve told you, I don’t have any other options,” you pinched the bridge of your nose. “I can’t afford to miss any paychecks.”

“I make enough to support both of us, your family, and all of your extended family why won’t you let me?” He asked, frustration and desperation seeping into his tone.

“I can’t ask you to do that,” you frowned stubbornly.

“But I want to,” he said, grabbing your hands. “Please, I can’t keep watching you work yourself like this.”

“Kuroo,” you murmured, cupping his cheeks. “I love you.”

“Is that a yes?”

You kissed his lips softly. “No, I’m sorry. I can’t.”

“Y/n,” his voice cracked.

“Excuse me,” you slid past him.

The sound of your office door shutting and locking sound like the lid of a coffin snapping shut. He sunk to the floor, pulling roughly at his hair.

Why wouldn’t you let him help you? What was the point of having this job if he couldn’t support his loved ones? He knew why you were like this. From a young age all of the financial and familial responsibilities had been passed to you. From it you had become a workaholic too proud to accept that you were on the brink of snapping.

He could see it though. In your hunched shoulders, dark eye bags, and increasingly short temper. He knew you never meant to shut him out, but he was losing his patience.

“No,” he growled, standing up.

You jolted, looking away from your emails towards your door. Kuroo pounded on it again. It had been hours since you’d talked in the kitchen. Now that you’d been shaken out of your concentration you realized you’d missed dinner.

“What?” You called.

“Let me in,” from his voice you could tell he was pressing his voice against the crack of the door.

“Kuroo, I have two hours worth of emails to answer. I really don’t have the time.”

“Y/n. Let me in. Before I break down the door, I swear I’ll do it,” he huffed.

It cracked open slowly, and the dull look in your eyes made his frustration evaporate.

“Good news,” he held up his phone.

Your eyes scanned over it, widening. “What?”

“I called in a few favors at work. What do you think?” He beamed.

“I-is that real?” You took the phone carefully.

“Only if you want it,” he leaned against the doorframe.

It was an interview for your dream job, what you had gone to college for. Your hands were shaking and you had to give him back his phone before you dropped it.

“Kuroo, I-“

“You can’t say no, or I wasted all of those favors for nothing,” he smirked, knowing he had finally one upped you.

You wiped your eyes before punching his shoulder. “I can’t believe you’d waste them on me.”

“It wasn’t a waste,” he murmured, grabbing your chin. “So?”

“Thank you,” you sniffled. “I’m so sorry.”

“What for?” He frowned.

“Shutting you out when you’ve just been trying to help. I just- it felt like this stupid job was the only thing I had to provide for my family.” You explained.

“It’s okay. I know how consuming work can be,” he patted your head. “Now let’s go heat up dinner and you can put in your two weeks in the morning.”

“Okay.”

Akaashi

So sad to see you stuck in such a predicament

He wants to the best for you and he feels bad that he can’t provide for you the way he should

But he understands your need to be independent and provide for your family

You’ve had a job since high school and skipped college to go right into a decent position at a web developing company

It had required just a few courses that overall cost less than a four year degree

Sadly, as a starting company they depended heavily on you and gave you tasks that weren’t in your job description

You wanted the best for them so you accepted all the work without complaint until eventually everyone was passing their extra work to you

It was another long night of fixing up your co-workers half ass paperwork and answering client emails. Akaashi had peeked into the office several times, not wanting to distract you. He knew you could get snippy on nights like this, exhausted after a long week only to be saddled with a bunch of weekend work.

But he had to get you to eat.

“Knock, knock,” he said softly. “I brought you dinner.”

“Oh, uh thanks. Just set it...” you waved your hand a vague direction. “Just a few more emails.”

“Um, are you sure they can’t wait?” Akaashi set the plate next to your keyboard, hoping that would entice you into eating.

“No, if I work through them all now we can spend tomorrow together,” you murmured.

Akaashi frowned, setting a hand on your shoulder. He knew that spending tomorrow together would just be you napping on the couch trying to recharge after being overworked.

“I’d rather you go to sleep now, sweetie,” he scratched his fingers through your hair. “C’mon, they’re overextending you anyways.”

“Keiji! I know,” you shoved the keyboard away. “I know they’re overworking me but if I just stop it will mess up the entire company and I could get fired. Who’s going to pay for my siblings school if I’m fired, huh?”

I was hoping to avoid her snapping... Akaashi continued stroking your hair.

“I know, I know. But I think if you laid out form boundaries with them you’d have a much better experience. It’s not part of your job description to double check everyone else’s paperwork and email their clients. You need to tell them they either need to raise your salary to accommodate all of these other responsibilities or have your colleagues actually do their jobs.” Akaashi advises gently. “I can’t keep seeing you work yourself like this.”

You stared down at your hands. “Will you help me?”

“Just tell me how,” he squeezed the back of your neck.

“I-I want to tell them that but I don’t think I’m aggressive enough to actually get my point across. I don’t want them to keep walking all over me,” you sighed, shoulders drooped with exhaustion.

“We can practice all day tomorrow until you’re ready,” he stopped down and kisses your temple. “So for now, how about you just eat some dinner and we can go to bed. Hm?”

“Okay,” you nodded. “Thank you, Keiji. I’m sorry for snapping.”

“It’s okay, I understand. You’re stressed, it’s not your fault,” he said reassuredly. “I love you.”

“Love you too.”

He kissed your cheek instead this time. “Tomorrow we can go get breakfast at that place you like and lay out your demands, yeah?”

“Yeah,” you nodded, turning your head to connect your lips to his.

Hi! Do you have any headcannons for how Kuroo and his s/o would go about their morning routine? Like who wakes up first, who makes the coffee, who is the one to wake up seeing the other hogged the blankets again, etc. And if you wanted to add more characters too you could maybe add Ennoshita and Oikawa?? Kuroo Tetsurou

A morning person by design. He's been getting up early since his middle school morning run routine and he's never lost that habit of waking up early (just not as early anymore)

Kuroo's usually the first one up and the one to fix coffee and breakfast. This leaves you to stay curled up in bed all nice and toasty while he gets ready for work.

If you're an early bird too you can make a morning routine of doing this together and joining him for a shower. Maybe a little something more in the shower. A lazy morning wash to help each other start the day. He's cheeky about it too. Giving you "Cool" hair do's while he washes your hair

'I think it looks hot babe. No don't wash it out I wanna take a photo of my masterpiece first!'

When he shows you later it's a sick mohawk of shampoo mixed hair and you can't help but laugh at his stupid antics. You have to try to do it back too because it's the only time his hair is pliant enough to move out of that bedhead.

The two of you are snickering as you're snapping pics and he swishes his hair in your face. Someone gets soap in their eyes at some point but you're both laughing so hard and hugging, wet bodies pressed together in the shower holding each other tight so you don't fall.

It's worth the fun as you stand beneath the stream trying to rinse your eyes.

If you're not an early bird and you stay snuggled in the sheets then Kuroo will come try and wake you for breakfast before he leaves. Gently places a hand on your shoulder and whispers for you to wake up.

If you don't wake he's an absolute menace. He'll plant kisses over your face and rub into you like a cat. 'Wakey wakey!' More cat like snuggles into your face. 'Babe wakey wakey!' Just plops on top of you like the most annoying alarm clock in the world. Almost tempted to stay in bed with you even though he's dressed.

In terms of who is the blanket hogger. It can be pretty even but it's more likely to be you. Kuroo isn't much of a restless sleeper and doesn't really pull them. He's also essentially a blanket himself.

He sleeps on his stomach face smooshed in pillows and if you like a bit of contact he switches to smooshing his face into your neck with an arm slung over your waist. He's also just naturally warm so he's a personal heater and blanket in one.

If anyone hogs the blanket it's more likely to be you. Especially if you're a restless sleeper which is honestly perfect with someone like Kuroo because he can hold you down and stop you rolling around. Teases you about it.

'Babe, I'm your personal weighted blanket.' Has that smirk too.

Sleep ins with Kuroo are fun too. He's up first of course and gets bored so will roll over to cuddle you and annoy you with affection. Then that turns into morning talks about random things.

'Do you think chickens can fly really high in an alternate timeline?' 'You believe in alternate timelines?' 'Well, yeah but only if I'm with you in them.' 'Pfft you're a loser.' 'A romantic loser.' 'Wrong timeline.' 'Hey!'

Mornings with you have made Kuroo even more of a morning person. He's a morning lover.
