Just I silly idea I had.
Kokoro's grandma died a year after she became a pro hero. The woman was already old when she took her granddaughter home to be her legal guardian. Kokoro was happy that her grandma have been able to see her graduate from U.A and be able to act as a pro. But, when she passed way, it broke Kokoro's heart, it was the only family she had. Of course, she tried to not dwell on it and kept her mind busy with work. Too much work even. Thankfully, a best friend always have to right word for you, and know that you need to stop being an ass with yourself and to take sometime to mourn like a decent person, instead of working yourself to death.
