Art vs Artist!
I’m doodling in history class
A redraw of this drawing of my OC Kuroza.
@dragonearuss drew my OC, Kuroza! Thank you so much; she looks great!
Just so you guys know, I do art. This is my character Kuroza for my eventual webcomic about space and in space. I have almost my entire story board and it’ll most likely have a kind of sectioned format (episodes?). It’s gonna be rad.
34 for kuroza, 43 for tersin?
34) Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?
Kuroza usually tries to repeat a solution that failed the first time, sometimes with a few tweaks or alterations to address her mistake. If that doesn't work after two or three times, depending on the situation, she will move onto the next solution, depending on what is the most safe for her crew. As captain, she finds herself responsible for the wellbeing of everyone on board, so she will go with the safest and non violent solutions first, only moving on to other ones if she absolutely has to. This next step is usually determined by her comrades, not only because it is their job to aid each other, but because they are friends!
43) Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?
Definitely. Tersin and Kotarsis's parents died when they were young, and Tersin doesn't even remember them well beyond a blurry image and soft words. After Kotarsis realizes he can depend on his friends, and that they are not merely a deception, him and Tersin begin to become a bigger part in Lacivert's life (along with Lacivert's partner who I haven't officially named yet). Lacivert (and their girlfriend) are two very intense individuals at times, but eventually become the mother figures of Tersin's life.
They share everything from how to pickpocket to forging armor in volcanic magic to dating advice, when it comes in handy. Tersin really likes to show off her achievements when it comes to her shapeshifting powers to them, and they encourage her! It's adorable.
I’m always drawing my characters or whatever but whenever I draw Kuroza digitally I always give her a pose that’s like “um, actually-“ like she’s always just absolutely schooling someone
1, 4 , 9, 11 for the character thing for your oc!
Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
Kuroza is an only child who moved away from her parents’ base planet. I have not decided if I should actually make her have a positive relationship with a family member yet, but she’s trying. She’s closer to her dad than her mom, but generally dislikes their enthusiasm.
Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
Before my story starts, not really. She lives a kind of normal life and doesn’t really see anything too life-changing or traumatic quite yet. Eventually though, she freaks out at meeting the legendary war-hero king Zenoxerous the Third, who’s existence confirms that of wormholes. I’ll make up some sort of lif-changing event when I finish making up what her society is like in her early life.
Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
Kuroza started from closer to the top and wanted to make changes in the world unrelated to her parents. She never really fit in, and decided to change by living on her own with no assistance. She works her way back up (in a different field of expertise) after she finishes school. She becomes a space captain rather than a rich nobody.
In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
Kuroza only gets scared when people are involved in actual threats or in serious danger without easy solutions (unless you include her deepest fears). She gets particularly scared when her friend Florence in in danger and having a panic attack.
