          — Hazel eyes traveled over The Captain before a brow raised. Of course she’d heard about him, everyone within the walls had, but to think that he was truly as small as they had described... Well, let’s just say she hadn’t exactly believed the rumors about said subject. As he passed her she almost had the nerve to make a comment, but instead she kept it to herself, knowing better than to make fun of a superior.

          — Of course, this did not stop her snorting and looking away from him, trying to hold back a fit of giggles.

A MADMAN leads - -          

  A resounding crack of fading electricity heralded the downpour akin to a Shifter’s dramatic appearance, and the Commander’s steed tensed and halted for a split second, only to be torn from its initial fear by a fierce tug of reins, directing the steed in a full circle so the enigmatic blond was instead facing his current companion.         At the same time their uniform cloak would be hauled over blinded features, his flare gun was secured and fired, green smoke drowned pitifully into non-existence by the insistent torrent.   Granted, he just wanted to check - there would be no directing their formations in this weather, and he had chosen to secure the route with a single trusted soldier this time.. it was lucky they were already close to an established supply point.

                 “Levi!                          The abandoned town.             It’s almost nightfall, so making it there will secure our own safety.                  Hopefully, everyone will come to the same conclusion!”

His voice was a roar in order to reach above the thunderous rain,  and without hesitation or confirmation, he about-faced and spurred.         Titans were less likely to find them within a structure, and he didn’t want Humanity’s Strongest to waste gas or resources attempting to force combat in such difficult terrain.                                                                                                                       - - the DESPERATE and ENRAGED

  It could have been amusement, that arced a heavy brow all the way to a teased hairline - the rest of the Commander’s visage denoted absolutely nothing save awareness of his surroundings, and his normal intense, contemplative air.                     “Oh?            Do you think I shouldn’t have admitted my methods?       It wouldn’t hurt, to gain more recruits who hadn’t the means of joining the Military proper, but have potential…             I’m not certain we should call it a ‘benefit’, however.”

A single tug of his steed’s reins, and he would be turned to face ‘Humanity’s strongest, genuine concern lacing deep, rich tones. He halted their progress for the sake of hearing this trusted man out - after all, even with the plethora of complaints that came his way on a hourly basis, he was curious to know whether or not he should be encouraging more outsiders amongst their ranks - it was always a risk, considering human society was no less brutal to its own kind than they were against the Titans, but… If Levi believed they could handle it, then the outcome should be favorable… of course, even if he was disagreed with, the young-eyed blond would still opt to convince his Lance Corporal otherwise.                                                                                            - - the DESPERATE and ENRAGED

✨—ｄｉｓｉｎｆｅｃｔｅｄ ｍｅｍｅｓ: “Take your clothes off.” The sable-haired captain directed point-blank, with a dispassionate expression sprawled across his severe features. Clad in his cleaning "armor," Levi stood suddenly in the doorway. His arms were crossed over his chest, and in hand he held a few dingy undershirts aloft. He could have only been speaking to Armin. ❝The water's already cooling and yours is the last of the laundry. Unless you're partial to smelling like a yard full of chicken shit.❞

“E-Excuse me!?”

Armin, as always was reading his favorite book for the umpteenth time when Levi suddenly barged in his room. He knew exactly what day it was, but he was so lost in his book that he wished he would never come out of it. Now in reality, Armin found himself standing, shaking violently for the scare Levi caused to him. He was a bit angry to say the least.

“Sir! A-At least knock before barging in! What if--”

But his own sentence stopped there, Levi interrupting him. Armin didn’t want to smell like a chicken coop. He just wanted to keep reading. But now since he realized what was going on, he turned red. He had to undress in front of the man, and he didn’t know if he should. Not when they... Didn’t have the same parts...

“Well... Could you at least leave first before I strip...? I need privacy...”

🍯 - The pitter-patter of cold, harsh rain against the windows and rooftop resounded throughout the base. Such inclement weather caused training, or any business regarding the outside, to be cancelled. Thus, the Scouts were gifted a rare day to repose.

Some opted to sleep in for a much need rest. Others congregated in the dining hall for mindless chatter. And the weather, despite being so dreary, was welcome. Even with the constant flashes of lightning and the tumultuous claps of thunder.

Although, Petra found herself bringing a cup of tea to her Captain. That of which had remained resigned to his room for the entirety of the day so far. It wasn’t unusual, but she couldn’t help the worry she felt.

“Captain? It’s Petra, sir.” She called out after knocking with her free hand. Hopefully he wasn’t asleep.. She’d hate to wake him with what little sleep he tended to get.

🍯 - A visit from her Captain was not expected. As much as he loathed filth, she had not thought for a moment that he would come to check in on her wellbeing. Especially with the severity and contagiousness of her illness.

🍯 - Nonetheless, her exhaustion was far too overbearing; fogging her mind and obstructing any clear thoughts that might have been present. Such as having the common sense to dispose of the copious amount of amalgamated tissues collected on her bedside. Used. Her appearance an overall wreck, and yet she tried to remain fatuously positive. Although, such endeavors were unsuccessful. Occasional sniffling emanated from her nose, red and raw from just how much she’d wiped it.

🍯 - Rubbing her eyes, she attempted to rid them of bleariness before speaking absently. “Sometimes I have dreams of you..” There was a slight pause as her eyelids grew heavy and thus shut. “..cleaning in a maid’s dress.” The confession certainly wasn’t something to be anticipated by Petra, of all people. Still, it seemed to amuse her; evident by the smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “Maybe you were a maid in a past life..” She murmured almost incoherently, the syllables dragging together. Oh, she’d definitely be regretting this later. ( If not immediately. )
