          “If you keep making that face it’s going to freeze like that.”

          — Teasing this blond never got old, seeing as how he always had the funniest reactions, even compared to the likes of Eren Though going beyond the surface, beyond the hilarity of Jean getting angry at Ymir for such an innocent little comment as he usually did, it was her way of focusing his attention else were. If he and Eren were constantly at war with each other it was both annoying to anyone around them, but also detrimental to their ability to move up within the ranks. She could kill two birds with one stone. He could get upset when her, she wouldn’t react much, and that would be the end of it, and no one would have to hear the squabble that would inevitably happen if he began another fight with Eren..

          “You know, one of these day’s you’re going to get caught slacking off right?”

          — Speaking as she rubbed out her shoulder, Ymir was only half joking in her comment, as opposed to her usual full on sarcasm. After all, as much of a bitch as Ymir was, really she did look out for the others she considered close to her. Not really friends, as Krista was the only one who would ever call herself such, but... people she would never admit she cared for. As she had been taught all those years ago, emotions make you weak, so Ymir made a pointed effort to hide behind her mask. To not show her true emotions, to not show weakness.

          — Ymir didn’t exactly see the blonde, not that she was looking, as she walked into the sleeping quarters. It had been a long day, and all she truly wished to do was lay down and fall the fuck to sleep. Soon enough, she had crawled up onto her bunk, body relaxing into the uncomfortable mat that quite frankly felt like heaven at that moment. Perhaps tonight she could get a good nights rest and not wake up from another unwelcome nightmare. 

          — As soon as those hazel eyes slipped shut, sleep ready to take her, rustling could be heard on the other side of the room. Pulling her back into reality and away from the world of sleep, her body reacted on it’s own. In one fluid movement, she hopped off the bed, landing on her feet rather gracefully. Ymir honestly loathed just how jumpy she was, how internally terrified she had become over those hell of 60 years in that damn titan. But it was what it was.

          — Quickly her eyes traveled across the room, searching for whatever had made the noise that had woke her. After all but half a second, she found herself in an eye lock with cold blue eyes and a mess of blonde hair above it. It was only Annie. A sigh left her as her body relaxed.

          “Next time? Give a girl some better warning.”

          — There was this constant look of judging held upon her face. Whether you were above or below her, it did not matter, she was constantly assessing, nit picking. That being said, however, it was all kept internal. Never were these thoughts spoken out loud, not unless she felt she really had too. This superior in particular was no exception to this. That, as other’s had called it, resting bitch face, was in place as she waited to see what, if anything, the other would say to her. Really, her critical thinking wouldn’t begin until the woman spoke.

          — Hazel eyes traveled over The Captain before a brow raised. Of course she’d heard about him, everyone within the walls had, but to think that he was truly as small as they had described... Well, let’s just say she hadn’t exactly believed the rumors about said subject. As he passed her she almost had the nerve to make a comment, but instead she kept it to herself, knowing better than to make fun of a superior.

          — Of course, this did not stop her snorting and looking away from him, trying to hold back a fit of giggles.

     — Something about him had caught her interest from the moment she saw him. His silence, it seemed to mean something, but she just couldn’t for the life of her pin point exactly what it was. Bertholdt, he was different. Then again, surely the others said the exact same about her, and Mikasa, and Eren, the list goes on and on. Still, her interest was piqued. Plus, what harm would it do to get him to speak with her?

          “So, Bertl, what do you think of this exercise they have us doing? Useless hand to hand combat?”
