Sorry this took so long asldkfj I set it in the OVA Nagito dreamscape-verse cause they struck me as having childhood best friend energy there
“Jeez, he won’t stop texting me updates,” Fuyuhiko complained. “Like I care how his date is going.”
“It’s nice to see him so happy though, right?” Nagito grinned.
“You’re just saying that cause he’s not texting you.”
Nagito’s phone suddenly erupted in a wave of dings, and they both shared a glance before laughing.
“I hope he doesn’t spend the whole date on his phone,” Nagito said. “I want Sonia to see the best side of him, he has so much passion to offer, that much is apparent from all these texts.”
“Passion. Sure. That’s what it is,” Fuyuhiko snorted, tucking his phone in his pocket.
They were walking home together, one man short since Kazuichi was off with the woman of his dreams.
Fuyuhiko seemed a bit preoccupied as he walked, and everytime his phone went off he seemed irritated at having his train of thought broken. Eventually he muted it with a vicious jab, before turning to Nagito.
“So, you ever been in love?” he asked.
“That’s quite random,” Nagito answered.
“No it’s not, we’re dealing with Kazuichi “simp” Souda over here thinking about engagement rings,” Fuyuhiko said. “It’s on topic, dumbass.”
“Hm… well, then yes,” Nagito said.
Fuyuhiko waited for more, and when Nagito just kept walking he rolled his eyes.
“So, no gossip?” he asked. “Don’t kiss and tell?”
“I never said I kissed anyone,” Nagito said. “Only that I’ve been in love. I’m still in love.”
“But you’re more secretive about it then Kazuichi, I guess.”
“I didn’t think I was being secretive at all.”
“Hm?”
Nagito give him a puzzled look. “I thought I was pretty obvious. Maybe it’s confusing, because I have so much admiration for all my classmates.”
“Oh, so it’s someone in our class?”
Nagito laughed, covering his face and blushing.
“What?” Fuyuhiko huffed. “Why are you laughing at me? Hey! Answer the question, bastard!”
His angry stammering came to a halt as Nagito put a hand to his cheek. He looked down at it from the corner of his eye, blushing and looking surprised.
“I’ve been in love with you my entire life. Ever since the day I first met you,” Nagito said. “I thought at first, that maybe I just wanted to be as strong as you, but I soon realized it wasn’t just admiration. You’re wise, though you hide it, and you care, though you hide that too.”
Fuyuhiko’s blush worsened. “W-what are you talking about?”
“You’re one of my best friends, and my life was changed significantly by knowing you,” Nagito said. “Which is why I’m in love with you. This doesn’t have to change anything, of course, but you did ask.”
Nagito pulled away and kept walking, that same serene smile on his face that always pissed Fuyuhiko off. Like the guy was too good to ever feel anything but happy.
Fuyuhiko grumbled, doubling his pace to catch up and grabbing Nagito’s hand roughly. He adjusted so he was holding it more comfortably, and said nothing at Nagito’s surprised gasp and stare.
“... so, how much you wanna bet on the odds of him getting a second date?” he asked, pushing the conversation back to Kazuichi and hating how sweaty his palms felt.
Nagito eyed him with a curious grin for a moment, before giving him his out. He gave Fuyuhiko’s hand a gentle squeeze. “I’d say it’s likely. I believe in him.”

Thought I'd make a lil video about myself! Since I haven't made myself any talk sprites yet, I thought a quick lil speedpaint would suffice.
NOTE - I will most likely not be active on here or on my other social medias for a couple days or so after the weekend since I live in Florida and I'm right in the path of Hurricane Dorian's eye. We stocked up on a lot of hurricane food and we're ready for what Dorian will throw at us!... I think. If thinks get worse than we were expecting, we'll drive up to Georgia so don't worry much!
