Cross is the pride and joy of the Guardsmen, and has been for centuries. He has served as Dream’s Royal Guard for over 500 years, and his loyalty is unwavering. His skills are almost unmatched in combat, and he wouldn’t hesitate to strike down anyone Dream commanded.

Abilities/Special Traits - Cross is currently the most skilled swordsman in the Kingdom - Cross is a bit more skilled in magic than the average monster, and can use his magic for a longer period of time - Cross has a unique ability to summon blades (High level magic, which few monsters are capable of) - For a short period of time, Cross is able to seemingly “slow down time”. The reality is that he is just increasing his physical capabilities. Reaction time, speed, strength, etc. all at once which makes it seem as if everything else is moving slower. (Killer is the only one so far who has been able to keep up with Cross when he’s like this, but not every time) - Cross will live as long as Dream does, due to their bond

Misc. - Cross tends to overwork himself - He can be rather impatient - Cross is actually pretty anxious. He only really calms down in private with Dream. - Cross is 5′10″ (~178cm) - Cross is a light sleeper, and he prefers to sleep on his back. (He likes being able to hold dream when he sleeps) - Cross will often separate food on his plate. He doesn’t know why he does it. - He has a habit of accidentally grabbing food or drinks Dream would like when he means to get something for himself.

Care for a Dance?

(You fans of Kingdomverse? all should thank @owlheartt for sufficiently bribing me into writing this! Thank you once again for the lovely fanart, and I hope this is what you were hoping for!) 

          A gala… How annoying. Nightmare looked at the room filled with guests, a look of irritation clear on his face. Nightmare wasn’t fond of galas. They were too loud, too crowded, and there were always too many people watching him. The sight of Dream in the middle of it caught Nightmare’s eye, and he frowned.

          His elder brother was always much more sociable, even in the beginning. Dream loved talking to people, and everyone he talked to loved him. That’s how it always was, Dream enjoying the love and attention from the people, and Nightmare? Well Nightmare was always doing the same thing as well. Staying out of sight if possible, and watching from the side lines. 

          ‘Ridiculous…’ He thought to himself. ‘How pitiful that a King cannot even interact with his own subjects.’ Nightmare glared at the back of his brother’s head. He could feel his magic swirling inside him in response to his own anger. Nightmare sighed and turned away, trying to ease his own inner turmoil. He’d rather not cause a repeat of events if he could.

          Nightmare began scanning the ballroom for Killer, the Guard having disappeared from Nightmare’s side the moment he was given permission to do so. Nightmare sighed in aggravation. He supposed he shouldn’t be surprised Killer wanted to mingle, but it was still irritating how quickly Killer abandoned him. 

          “Useless…” He muttered under his breath.

          “What’s useless, Your Majesty?” Killer’s voice appeared behind him. Nightmare turned his head calmly, as if unsurprised at Killer’s sudden appearance. It was hard to startle Nightmare. Killer had his usual grin plastered on his face, and Nightmare narrowed his eyes.

          “Nothing. Where have you been?” Nightmare turned towards Killer. “You’re aware you still act as my Guard at these events, right? You’ve been gone for several minutes.” He lectured. Killer chuckled and nodded.

          “Of course, my deepest apologies, Your Majesty. I just thought you would like something to drink while we enjoy this event together?” Killer offered a flute of champagne he’d procured on his little adventure. Nightmare looked at the offered drink, and noticed Killer had grabbed one for himself. He sighed and took the glass, looking at the drink in distaste.

          “I rarely enjoy these events.” Nightmare looked back over the crowd of people. Killer raised his glass to take a drink, looking Nightmare over as he did so. The King looked irritated, even more so than usual. He’d practically hidden himself away from the people. Killer looked out at the gala as well. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, sharing a drink, dancing and laughing. Even Cross seemed to be coming out of his shell as he danced with Dream.

          ‘Dancing…’ Killer thought for a moment before turning towards Nightmare.

          “Would you like to dance?” He asked, with a slight tilt of his head. Nightmare looked at Killer with a frown.

          “No.” He said curtly, finally taking a drink from the glass in his hand. Nightmare again had a look of distaste and set the drink down on a nearby table. ‘He doesn’t like champagne. Noted.’ Killer thought before continuing the conversation.

          “May I ask why not, Your Majesty?” Killer tried to make his smile more genuine. Nightmare’s eyes narrowed slightly again, his frown deepening.

          “I shouldn’t need to give a reason.” He said lowly, side-eyeing Killer now. The Guard knew he was treading on dangerous waters now. If he pushed too much he was sure to actually anger the King, and then the night would be ruined beyond repair. 

          “Of course not, Your Majesty. It’s simple curiosity, as you seem like someone who would be rather good at dancing.” Killer said, silently relieved he came up with something that didn’t seem offensive. Killer found he had to bite his tongue quite a bit when it came to Nightmare. The King of Night wasn’t one to tease more than necessary. Nightmare’s look didn’t change much, but he was no longer glaring at Killer from the corner of his eye.

          Safe! Killer almost sighed in relief. He supposed he could ask again when Nightmare wasn’t as irritated. Though he was a bit disappointed he wouldn’t get any answers right away-

          “I don’t like to be watched by them.” Nightmare said. Killer blinked for a moment, unsure he’d heard properly.

          “Watched…?” Killer followed Nightmare’s line of sight, but he didn’t seem to be looking at anyone in particular. “By who, Your Majesty?” Nightmare gave a general sweeping gesture of his hand.

          “Them. Any time I show my face I am gawked at as if I’m some sort of spectacle. Surely your lack of eye-lights doesn’t make you blind.” Nightmare looked at Killer. Killer chuckled at the rare tease from Nightmare. The corner of the King’s mouth twitched as if he was about to smile, but he turned away again.

          “Dancing has never had an appeal. I don’t want a stranger’s hands on me, nor do I want to be watched by people only waiting for me to slip up.” Nightmare explained. Killer looked out at the crowd again. He supposed that made sense. He’s only been out a handful of times with Nightmare, and each time he could tell people were watching them. Nightmare’s past haunts him even more so than Killer’s.

          Killer didn’t push on the subject, and the two fell into a comfortable silence. People watching was nice regardless, Killer liked seeing what others got up to when they didn’t think anyone was watching. Call him a creep, but entertainment is entertainment. Killer found his eyes often drawn back towards the people dancing though.

          Killer wasn’t much of a dancer himself, but he liked the activity enough. Though he usually used it as a way of getting someone comfortable with him before he… Well Killer got his name for a reason. He looked down slightly at his gloved hands. He was never ashamed of his past, but for some reason, whenever he stands next to Nightmare while thinking of his past deeds, Killer feels dirty. 

          He didn’t have much time to dwell on that thought before he felt Nightmare tense up next to him. Killer was at attention in an instant, looking around before seeing what the issue was. Dream was coming over. Nightmare was always a bit tense when it came to his brother. Talking about Dream and Nightmare’s relationship was one of the few things Killer didn’t do. Not yet at least.

          “Brother!” Dream’s voice was cheery as he came up the stairs to where Nightmare and Killer were standing, Cross close behind him. Cross and Killer’s eyes met and Killer grinned nice and big. Cross frowned at his fellow Guard. The two didn’t like each other much.

          “What are you doing all the way over here? You should be enjoying the gala with us!” Dream said, smiling at his brother. Nightmare gave him an indifferent look.

          “Enjoying a gala is something you do. I’ve never been fond of these events.” Nightmare said. Dream’s smile faded a bit, but he persisted.

          “Well… That could change? Maybe we could-”

          “Do what, Brother? Drink, talk to the people? These people are here for you, Brother, not for me.” Nightmare’s voice was cold, and he practically glared down the elder brother. Dream frowned. 

          “That’s nonsense. We’re both their Kings, they’re here for us. Not just me!” Dream argued. Nightmare let out a short laugh.

          “Oh please, here for us? The moment any of them see me they stare as if they’re afraid I’ll strike them down! I don’t understand why you’re so blind to that.” Nightmare said. 

          “That’s not true! I’m sure they just-”

          “If you’re determined to remain oblivious, I’m not going to continue this subject with you. I don’t feel like having the same conversations we had over a millennia ago.” Nightmare cut him off, beginning to walk past Dream. Killer and Cross shared a look before Killer began to follow his King. Dream tried to call after Nightmare, but was ignored. 

          Killer followed Nightmare out into the gardens, the moon providing enough light for them to have walked without the need of the lanterns that lit the place. The gardens were always nice. Both of the Kings were rather fond of them as well. Eventually, Nightmare stopped walking and sat down at one of the benches scattered around the gardens. 

          Killer didn’t sit, and instead stood beside him. Killer would rarely sit with Nightmare unless he was told to. Nightmare sighed heavily, and Killer looked down towards him. He knew better than to ask if the King was alright. That usually only irritated him. Killer looked up at the sky, the stars shining clearly without a cloud in sight. It was a beautiful night. 

          The two sat in silence for a while, before Killer spoke up.

          “Would you like to dance, Your Majesty?” Killer asked, looking towards the King. Nightmare looked at Killer, a mix of confusion and irritation on his face.

          “What?” 

          “I’ve asked if you’d like to dance with me, Your Majesty. You said you weren’t fond of people watching you, but there is no one around.” Killer said. Nightmare gave a cursory glance around them, and Killer continued. “You also expressed distaste for a stranger being your partner, but I am no stranger.” Killer held out his hand towards the King in offering. 

          Nightmare stared at his hand before looking up at Killer’s face, seeming to search for something. Killer waited, his hand still held out towards the King. Nightmare seemed to hesitate for a moment before carefully placing his hand in Killer’s outstretched one. Killer helped the King to his feet, guiding him to the center of the area of the gardens they were in. 

          Despite them being outside, the music from the gala could still be heard filtering into the gardens. Killer lightly placed a hand on Nightmare’s hip, using his other to hold the hand Nightmare had given him. Nightmare seemed uneasy, but didn’t refuse. Killer began to guide Nightmare into a simple waltz, giving Nightmare one of his few genuine smiles. 

          Nightmare stared at Killer’s face, the tension in his body leaving as the two continued to dance together. Nightmare wasn’t an experienced dancer, and may have missed a couple steps, but Killer remained quiet, instead giving the King an encouraging smile. Nightmare had to try not to look at his own feet at times. 

          “I hate that you seem to be better at this than I.” Nightmare huffed, causing Killer to chuckle.

          “It’s natural I’d be better at it, seeing as I’m more familiar with dancing.” Killer said, a slight tone of pride in his voice. Nightmare gave him a deadpan look.

          “You, familiar with dancing? I didn’t peg you as the type.” Nightmare said. Killer shrugged, grinning again.

          “What can I say? Many people have difficulties resisting my charms.” Killer said, causing Nightmare to roll his eyelights. 

          The two danced together for quite some time, until Nightmare began to tire, and decided it was time to turn in for the evening. Despite his distaste for galas, Nightmare had to admit that he didn’t mind this one. He supposed he didn’t mind dancing all that much either… So long as it was with the right person.

What is a tiny, irrational fear that the main cast of Kingdomverse has? (Ex. Specific animals being able to talk, or toys moving on their own)

Oh this is interesting! I assume by the main cast you mean the main four, so I'll answer for them!

Cross

Cross is afraid of dolls. Specifically porcelain dolls. He hates their eyes and they give him chills. He doesn't even want to think about if they could move.

Dream

Dream is afraid of zombies. Honestly, this fear is a bit more rational than irrational because necromancers do indeed exist, and zombies could in fact also exist. Dream's never seen them, but he would be terrified. He's also afraid of living furniture. He read the story of Beauty and the Beast and has never recovered.

Killer

Killer actually has claustrophobia! He's not sure when it developed, but he hates enclosed spaces he can't get out of. It brings up strange feelings in his soul, like memories he's long since forgotten. He doesn't want to remember either. He does ok in small rooms so long as there's a clear exit, but you won't get him far from that exit for long.

Nightmare

Nightmare has actually developed a fear of the dark. He's aware of the irony. He spent so long in the Void, that now he knows what lies in the dark, and he can't help the tension that builds when he's left in the dark alone. It's a shame, really. He used to find so much comfort in the dark, and now it almost terrifies him. He can deal with it so long as other people are around, but he's not sure he can ever be left alone in the dark again.

Alright additional questions to my last one... And more.

How did killer felt hearing those words coming from nightmare that he is useless now? Must have hurt badly. Did nm mean it or was it just his anger? Poor killer not even able to sleep properly after that incident out of eorry snd now not even being allowed near nighty... What was he doing in the meantime, aside from recovering?

I assume that that incident was the reason for killers and nightmares fight, it sounds like it at least. I actually want to know how they conversation did go when they made up and everything tho?? (even when i got a big answer to it - but.. I want more... maybe still turn the whole thing into a writing promt/story? If ur alright with it...)

Its a bit sad that nm won't know of killers voice so i thought of an what if possibility... Imagine:

Killer finding an slight hurt animal, tending to it for not just pitying the poor thing but also feeling a bit lonely then as he has nothing better to do as of now after nm put him on leave for some time. As he tended to the smol hurt thing he sang to it a bit, maybe to calm it as it seemed scared(?). Nightmare by Chance witnessing/listening to the scene -accidentely-, finding killers voice quiet alluring but not mentioning it at all as it seemed to be a bit of a private scene and also cuz he was too angry to speak to killer at the Moment anyway, so keeping it a secret to himself.

More questions now: what happens when cross and killer are on leave/have days off? As they are their Kings only guards (as it seems) they cant do switch their dutys... So will they have a temporary stand in guard or something on those times or just be with themselfs (which wouldn't be a safe desicion for Kings, as something could happen nevertheless their own strenght) ??

I do intend to write out some scenes involving the incident, so you should be able to get those first couple questions answered after it's written >w<

Lets answer the last question then!

What happens when the Royal Guards are on leave/have days off?

It might sound a bit bad, but truthfully the Kings don't have stand-ins for those times. The way this is handled is different between the two Kings.

Royal Guards are uncommon to have, as I've said before. So much so that it wouldn't be surprising for a King to never have one. The previous Queen, (Nightmare and Dream's mother), never had a Royal Guard! The Guardsmen all collectively handle security for the Kings, so there's never really a need for a Royal Guard in truth.

Dream is an exceptional fighter, just as Cross is, so if he were to be attacked, he could hold his own for sure. He might not be as strong as he was in the past, but he's still an immortal with immense power.

Dream also almost always has Guards looking out for him, no matter where he is, so Cross having his days off is never an issue, security-wise. Dream might not feel as safe, but there's not much of a threat to him on the daily anyways.

Nightmare, however, may not be as protected, but he is actually stronger than Dream at this point. Truth be told, Nightmare (in the past), has felled more than an army single handed (Though that was with the boost of a kingdom filled with negativity, the point stands). If it weren't for the drug he was affected by, Nightmare likely would have slaughtered the assassins on his own.

The time in which Killer was on leave, the security of the castle was practically tripled. Even Nightmare was getting the same treatment as Dream at the time, what with having Guards constantly ensuring his safety. It was a bit irritating for Nightmare, but he tolerated it.

An incident like what happened with Killer has never happened in the entire time that the Kings have ruled, before and after Nightmare's reign. The only real threat to the Kings have been... themselves.

After the incident, there may end up being a policy change, but there may not. It depends on how the Kings decide for things to be. Nightmare will most likely find no issue with leaving things as they are, but he won't disagree to an increased security. Dream wants to trust the people of his Kingdom, but he may also have increased security measures. At the very least, at night there should be more security.

So killer is friends with horror and dust... Who else is he friends with? Who helped him prepare that breakfast for nightys bday? Did killer Cook for nighty every bday? 👀👀 also... Does nm havw friends, if yes who actually? (A king could need dome friends too uwu)

Sometimes i wonder if killer has something like a "nighty is at danger" -radar... Actually, does he? XDD Also u said killer sews? What does he sew?? Just For himself or others too, and what??

In one of the asks u wrote that - cross came out as the Victor of that guardsmen events (for a while) - so i wanna know ofc why not anymore? And by whom did he get 'dethroned' (Did killer beat his ass?) xD u said once that killer is a real competitor for cross so are they pretty even and take turns on winning or... What?

Killer is friends with Lust and Ardor as well! (Since he frequents their brothel) Horror was actually the one who helped Killer prepare Nightmare's birthday breakfast. He does indeed try to cook for Nightmare every birthday if he can! He hasn't missed one so far.

Does Nightmare have friends?

Not really? He doesn't really consider anyone a friend, but that's because the word is a bit too familiar for him. I would say the closest thing he has to a friend would probably be Error. (Other than Killer of course) Nightmare really should get more friends, but he doesn't like the idea of being familiar with others in that way. He has trust issues.

Does Killer have a "Nightmare Danger" sense?

Actually, kinda! I wouldn't say it's directly geared to just Nightmare, and it's more of a general danger sense. He seems to always know when something is off or going to go wrong.

What does Killer sew?

Killer picked up sewing when he was still a criminal, since he often had to patch up his own clothes. His sewing is for much more practical use than recreational. He doesn't really need to do it much anymore since Nightmare has clothes provided for him, but if he's particularly attached to a garment he'll most likely patch it up himself.

Who wins the Guardsmen's events now?

Cross and Killer often fight for the wins now, and they typically trade off. Killer is Cross' only real competition, and vice versa. The first time Killer beat Cross, it was quite the shock to everyone watching. Even Nightmare hadn't anticipated it, but he certainly felt pride at seeing his Guard beat the golden boy of the Guardsmen.

The two Guards have kept a tally of their wins now, and Cross currently has more wins than Killer (Not counting all his previous wins of course). Them competing against each other has actually been a benefit towards their relationship. They both have a bit of fun, knowing they're evenly matched.

A little more details into Kingdomverse?

Ask and thou shall recieve! (AKA: I will take any and all opportunities to gush about this au) @eve416 had a couple questions about this AU that I am more than happy to answer~!

Does Nightmare get bullied? Mm, yes and no >w< Nightmare is certainly not treated as well as Dream, but ultimately he is still a King, just not a loved one. He may be disrespected by people, ignored, and is heavily gossiped about around the Kingdom.  Before the fallout between the brothers, he was mostly treated like a glorified secretary, and I would say things have simultaneously gotten better and worse since then. People never go to Nightmare for anything, and even now after the brothers have “made up”, he still lives in Dream’s shadow. 

How does Killer react to it? At first, Killer didn’t really care much. He’d heard plenty about Nightmare, about the legends (Since it has been a millennia since Nightmare’s reign, they’ve become legend), and Nightmare was kind of a dick so why should he have cared? It took some time before the things people said or did started to get on Killer’s nerves. (This is of course after getting to know Nightmare more, and being as he had to be at Nightmare’s side nearly 24/7 as his Guard, he learned a lot rather quickly) At one point, Killer got in some trouble (Which ended up helping to further their goal of “Get Dream to tell Nightmare he doesn’t need a Guard anymore”), and physically assaulted a drunkard in a tavern on his day off for saying some pretty nasty stuff about his King. (He never actually told Nightmare that was why he got in a fight, and Nightmare didn’t care since it was somewhat helpful) 

How does Killer annoy Dream? By doing things like previously mentioned XD  Killer, at the beginning of his being a Royal Guard, was taught by Nightmare how to properly act as a Guard. Specific manners and etiquette that’s expected of a Guard. He was then told by Nightmare that he essentially didn’t need to do like, half of that around Dream.  Bad manners and lack of attending to his duties, consistently making jokes no matter the situation, not taking his job seriously, and the nicknames Killer had a nack for coming up with nicknames that remained in the grey area of “Technically I’m calling you by your title, Your Majesty”. Your Kingliness, Sunny Superior, Your High and Mightiness, and Dream’s least favorite... Princey This, coupled with the fact that Nightmare refused to ever punish Killer for his antics, irritated Dream to no end. He also had a habit of comparing Killer to Cross, who was the epitome of a perfect Guard to Dream.

Do they have chronc illness? Having long(er) lives doesn't mean they can't feel it xD

So nighty, isn't corrupted but has some Kind of phantomn tentacles, interesting. Which makes me curious about killer and about his soul state? Is it like canon killer or... ??

I want to know... I really really do... Are there any rumors going around the castle? Especially about nighty and killer and their... Nightly visits~ uwu do people mistake it AS something else like *cough*naughty*cough* things or maybe believing nighty is torturing killer or idk, any Kind if ridiculous story? Do people even now that killer chills in nightys room (where he actually gets storys read by the king of night himself, lol. Its so cute i swear! Oh if they would know haha 🤭<3) And also ... Do they sometime uumm.. (Obliviously) happen to Cuddle while reading/listening to each other, sometimes???

Let's get into it!

Do the Kings have any Chronic Illnesses?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I assume you're talking about like disabilities? Like how some people headcanon (me included) that the original Nightmare has back problems because of the tentacles?

If that's the case, then technically Nightmare does have one, but it's not the back issues. Nightmare has minor vision issues in his right eye, because of an injury in the past. He also has a pretty obvious scar, which makes him rather intimidating. I haven't mentioned it because I haven't finished his design yet and I haven't really had a reason to mention it >w<; (Honestly I haven't really described any of them o.o)

The Kings aren't really all that affected by their age, but they are capable of being scarred or permanently disabled. Their particularly strong immune systems also makes it hard for any serious chronic illnesses to afflict them. It's another one of those "It's not impossible, but it's certainly not likely" situations >w<

Is Killer's soul similar to his canon soul?

Yep! Killer's soul does appear outside of his body, but it is visually different from the original Killer. KV!Killer's soul seems to have a white pupil, like an eye! Killer is also able to move his soul around slightly, though only to position it differently around his body. (Such as moving it into the palm of his hand, or around his torso, though it takes a fair bit of effort and he never has a reason to do so.)

Killer's soul is also similar in that it can change into a heart shape when he's feeling particularly positive feelings!

Are there any rumors about Killer and Nightmare's late night visits?

Thankfully for them, no not yet! People don't really pay much attention to the King of the Night or his Guard, and Nightmare usually stays in his office until most of the staff have already gone to sleep. (He works late, Killer has been trying to break him out of the habit.)

Killer and Nightmare already walk around and spend a lot of time together (Since Killer is his Royal Guard), so the idea that Killer would escort Nightmare to his room isn't unsurprising even if someone saw them. If someone were to see Killer going into Nightmare's room, they'd probably just assume it was for some sort of check or precaution. Killer doesn't really sleep in there often either, so there's never been an incident of someone seeing him come out of Nightmare's room in the morning.

Do they cuddle during their late night visits?

Hehe >w< Killer tries to respect Nightmare's boundaries, so he doesn't really do a lot of physical contact with the King, but there are some times where they're a bit more comfortable with each other~! Killer might lean against Nightmare while he reads, or even lay his head in Nightmare's lap when he's feeling particularly bold, and Nightmare allows it.

When he asked what Killer was doing, he just said he was getting comfortable, and Nightmare left it at that. If Nightmare were to ever initiate any physical affection, Killer wouldn't even question it, and would just enjoy it!

So they don't really full on cuddle (yet), but there's some physical affection >w<

Do any of them have any habits?

I assume this is for the main four, so I'll go ahead and answer for those four!

Nightmare

Nightmare has a habit of working late (as previously mentioned). By the time he's finished, most of the castle have retired for the evening (other than those who work night shifts.) He's also developed the habit of scanning the rooms he enters before fully stepping in. That developed because of the assassination attempts.

Nightmare also has the habit (in private) of holding or squeezing comfort items, like the plushy he was gifted. If he can't do that, he taps surfaces. It usually ends up making him look impatient.

Dream

Dream has a habit of talking over people sometimes. He doesn't really mean to, and has been working to fix it. Being the King, he's never really had to fight for someone to listen, so he sometimes forgets that he should be the one listening. He mostly does this to Nightmare, but it truly isn't intentional.

He also has gained the habit of needing to touch Cross in some way if he's nervous. It's usually grabbing onto his clothes or even his hand, but having some contact with Cross is a comfort.

Cross

Cross' habits are mostly in relation to his training. He's developed such a strict routine over the years, that straying from it usually makes him feel off for the rest of the day. He has to do things a certain way or it just doesn't feel right.

Non work related habits though? Cross separates his food on his plate. He's not sure where the habit came from, but he likes keeping his food separated, even if it seems childish. He'll also end up grabbing food or drinks that Dream likes when he means to get something for himself.

Killer

Killer also has the habit of checking a room before entering it. This stems from his years running from the Guardsmen though. Not having eyelights makes it easier for him to carefully examine places or people without getting suspicious. He also habitually cleans his knives. He has to do it at least once a week, but he also does it when he's bored with nothing else to do.

If he's able to, Killer will count the people in the rooms he enters too, and keeps track of who leaves and who comes in. He makes note of people who might be issues, and never lets anyone get within a certain distance of Nightmare without him being certain they can't or won't do harm.

Most if not all of Killer's habits are related to his past or his current job, but there is one that I can think of that isn't job related! Killer has the habit of looking at Nightmare after he tells a joke or a pun. He wants to see Nightmare's reactions.

As for the relationship chart? I'm not sure! I could do one, I just haven't done one before so I dunno how I'd set it up >w<

Did Killer and cross ever spar with the Captain of the guardmen, blue? How was the outcome?

Can i have some background infos on dust, horror and blue, like what their past was like and anything important? I also wanna know what they preferred food/Drinks/snacks are? Can they Cook/bake (horror can i know) How did they learn, who did teach them or did they selftaught? Any Hobbys they do in their spare time??

Yes, Killer and Cross both have sparred with Blue! Cross and Blue used to primarily train with each other before Killer became a Royal Guard. Blue is very skilled, and he can certainly keep up with the two for a time! Blue is a heavier hitter than Killer, and he's more agile than Cross, so he's certainly bested them at least once or twice.

They spar with him on occasion still, if they're not sparring with each other.

Dust's Past

Dust was an orphan. He was bought from the slave trade by an assassin's guild, and trained to be one of them. He was treated poorly, and hated every moment of it. To cope with the abuse he received, he ended up hallucinating a brother he never had.

His "brother" convinced him to escape, to get revenge on the guild. Dust used the skills the guild taught him and managed to kill the leader of the guild himself, escaping before he was caught. He laid low for some time before he started trying to find other work.

He became interested in alchemy and medicines, and he picked it up rather quickly. At one point, he met Horror, who'd wandered into the shop Dust had set up. Horror seemed lost and was having difficulties explaining what he wanted. Dust was patient and helped Horror. He'd needed something for headaches.

The two became friends as Horror became a regular customer, and when Dust expressed his anxieties over the guild (after explaining his past), Horror used what influence he had as Royal Executioner to get Dust employed as a member of the Royal Court.

Dust isn't a picky eater. He has a strong distaste for fish of any kind though. He has a soft spot for hard candies. Dust can't cook complicated dishes, but he can do simple recipes on his own. Horror has tried to teach him, but Dust can't seem to get the hang of it.

Dust's hobby is his work. It did start out as a hobby of course. He has his own garden where he grows his own herbs for his alchemy, and quite a few books on the subject as well.

Horror's Past

Horror grew up in a village that was practically cut off from the rest of the Kingdom due to the actions of Nightmare. Nightmare's influence and power over the Kingdom left many permanent marks, and tainted the land around Horror's home village.

This caused creatures of shadow, fueled by negativity and what remnants of Nightmare's magic there was, to continue to form and terrorize scattered villages around the borders of the Kingdom. Horror was born in one of these villages, and was raised in fear of these creatures.

One day, a creature of shadows broke into the village and attacked the people. Horror's brother died while protecting the villagers, and Horror was severely injured. When he'd finally recovered, Horror made himself the protector of the village in his brother's stead. He would leave the village to the surrounding forests and slaughter any and all hostile creatures.

Eventually, Blue came to the village with his Guardsmen in tow, intending to help provide protection for the village. He saw Horror's skill and how much he'd been struggling, and made an effort to befriend him. Eventually, when Blue was going to head back to the Capitol, he offered to bring Horror with him.

Horror agreed. He didn't like the way the villagers treated him, and Blue was his first friend.

Horror will eat anything and everything. He was the main provider in his village, and the creatures of shadow had pushed out nearly all wildlife around the village. Nightmare's magic had made the soil nearly impossible to grow anything in.

Horror is grateful just to have food without worrying about when his next meal will be. He likes meat the most, which is kind of funny because he really likes animals.

Horror is a good hunter, so I suppose that would be his hobby. Hunting and butchering. He's good at axe throwing too. Horror hasn't really explored any other options for activities.

Blue's Past

Blue grew up in the Capitol with his younger brother, Stretch. From a young age he'd dreamed of being a part of the Guardsmen. The gleaming armor, the strength, protecting others, all of it appealed to him. He'd always wanted to be a Guardsman! (Well, he wanted to be a prince first, then he wanted to be a Guardsman.)

Blue pushed himself harder than anyone else. He had to if he wanted to keep up. Blue trained day and night, but he was struggling. He didn't have as much magic as the other Guardsmen, and needed to rely purely on his physical capabilities.

Stretch saw Blue's struggles, and he wasn't about to let him fall. Stretch joined Blue's training, helping to push Blue by also pushing himself. The two brothers kept each other up, and Blue eventually passed his training with flying colors. Stretch joined the Guardsmen alongside Blue.

It didn't take long for Blue to rise through the ranks, becoming the youngest Captain in the Guardsmen's history.

Blue can cook rather well, and he always tries to make the things he cooks healthy. Though, Blue loves anything raspberry flavored. It's his weakness. Blue is a jack of all trades kind of monster, and he seems to be good at anything he tries!
