I really like this one pony right now too, and I don't think she feels the same way about me. But I'm still gonna ask her! I liked spending the time with our families here. I know it's crazy for a filly to fall hoof over tail that young... but I did. SCREEN RIPPLES TO A FEW YEARS LATER WHERE BOY AND LILY ARE IN SCHOOL When we started school together, he started hanging with more colts, I didn't know if he wanted to play with me anymore, so I left him alone. When we began learning about Hearts and Hooves day lately, I thought maybe this would be my chance. But I was so frightened just to say anything, I blew it. SCENE COMES BACK TO PRESENT SPIKE: Gosh, you've liked him longer than I've known Rarity. I think that's pretty special. APPLEJACK: But if this is where y'all played when you were youngins, how do you know if he's going to be coming here? LILY PETAL: Because we've never seen the hill on a starry night sky. I don't know if Twilight wrote to you today or not, but I thought I'd write to you about what I learned today. I know that you wanted Twilight to write to you about friendship, but do you think when a pony really really likes another, that it's also a form of friendship? Today was Hearts and Hooves Day, and boy there were a lot of couples! My goal today was to confess to Rarity about how awesome I think she is, but I didn't get to it. I instead learned more about what makes somepony a special somepony, and how easy a heart can be broken. Do you have a special somepony, Princess? Sorry if that seems really weird to ask. But what I did learn is that even if you are heartbroken, you always have good friends to stay by your side, and you never know what the future holds. So I think if Twilight hasn't sent you a letter yet, consider mine the lesson of the week. I know that Twilight had given them the book that had the recipe in it, so I just wanted to give an apology so she doesn't get her hooves all beaten up about it.
